GX240 wont post

Hi all,

I have a GX240 that will not post. I have swapped out the hard drive, the power supply, the ram and the video card from a machine that ios working and still no post. The back panel is not lit at all and the power button on the front is solid amber as is the light on the mother board. Any ideas?

Remove all IDE and floppy cables from the motherboard, and leave only the CPU, one stick of ram, and the video card connected. Next, clear the CMOS (should be a jumper for this, alternatively remove the battery form the motherboard while it's unplugged, and leave it a few minutes.

How do I reset the bios?

There should be a jumper on the motherboard, near the battery (looks like a big watch battery). As I said, the other thing you can do is just unplug the computer, and pull out the battery for a while. THe jumper is easier and more reliable though.
