I really don't get everyone complaining about the pistol or having difficulty finding pilots. In all the games I've played (a good amount mind you) I average at 15-20 kills/deaths to pilots. Sometimes I go 10-5 other times 5-10.

As for the pistol? Learn new tactics. I use the carbine and the shotgun exclusively and have maybe died a handful of times to the smart pistol. This game is run and gun. You don't aim down sight unless you're sniping. I think a lot of the whining is because people find that the tactics that they use in other games don't work. Guess what? It's a new game with new tactics. THAT'S WHAT MAKES IT FUN.

I mainly aim down the site a lot maybe I should not. How do you know who is a pilot? I'm pretty sure they are harder to kill. I haven't had any major issues and I feel it's a lot more fun than cod. I have not touched ghosts in forever either.

Altough I am having a difficult time justifying $60 for this game. Maybe If it had more elements in it, like bf 2142. I know it's a beta but I feel like it's missing quite a lot for a multiplayer only game.

1. Pilots have a different model than grunts or spectres.
2. They show up as giant red dots on your mini map.
3. When you're aiming at them you can see the pilots name clearly above their model.

The $60 question varies from person to person. There is a storyline. The difference is it's 100% co-op storyline. My guess is that the gameplay was too complicated to make good AI bots. So other players get to play both your ally and enemy bots. This could make for a fairly unique (I know it's been done before) experience, or a extraordinarily bad experience.

If the people I play with in other games weren't getting Titanfall I would take the wait and see approach. As is, I'm probably going to buy it day one since they are all doing it. It's a lot of fun playing with them and using Teamspeak.

As for the complaints about the AI. I agree there should be servers that don't have them. Just like I hope they make it possible to play 9v9 or 12v12 etc. etc.

Personally I like the strategy and tactics that they can be used for. They spot enemy pilots (see minimap). You can use them to alert you when enemies are coming (if they start disappearing someone is killing them). You can farm them to speed up your titanfall. There's so much more that I won't even get into here.

I imagine the game would also be a lot more fun if the number of Titan's on the map was limited to maybe 1 per side at a time, but they were MUCH MUCH more powerful. They would inspire a lot more fear in the pilots, and it would actually contribute to the atmosphere they are trying to create. The Titans just feel like an afterthought and I don't really worry about them when I'm on foot.

If there were only 1-2 Titan's allowed per team and they were ridiculously powerful I think it would add more to the game. Teams would have to actually work together to take them down. Right now I don't think I've ever felt like I was part of a team in this game come to think of it.

I've got an xbox one key if anyone cares.

There is just so much wasted potential in this game due to trying to appeal to the console crowd. Sad really.

The maps would feel more full with even just 10v10 and no AI and the gameplay would be better if titans were much more difficult to unlock.

Its just silly to me that you are rewarded for have a few pilot kills and a few AI cannon fodder kills. Most rounds end and the leader has less than 10 pilot kills yet they had a titan out for the majority of the map. I blame our no child left behind everyone gets a trophy society. Its finally fully come to an mp game.

Some people are far too stupid to be making social commentary yet the Internet gives them their voice anyway.

Thanks for the feedback. Yea I'm the only one that would be buying this game. All my friends I play with online have a ps4. The co op story sounds interesting and like you said, could be good or it could turn out pretty bad.

With a good set of team mates this game could be a lot of fun. I hope down the line they have maps like 2142 where you have a home base and some checkpoints, once you capture or take over a base you gain access to 1 or 2 titans. This would make the battles last longer and more interesting.

I'm glad I'm enjoying it more than cod and the custom titan load outs are cool too even though there will be some elite players that will have some crazy indestructible titan after some time which could seem unfair to those just starting out trying to level up.

While intriguing, I don't think that idea would work. People rarely coordinate with strangers online, mostly because they don't really use mics much. If the Titans were significantly stronger, I'd be unsure of the ability to take them down in a group of strangers.

The AI minions are really stupid and distracting. I didn't think they'd bother me this much but all they do is distract you from real enemies. They serve no real purpose as far as I can tell other than to be clutter.

I tried the XB1 and PC version and was shocked by the amount of framerate drop on the XB1. There is no way this game is locked at 60fps.

i dont think you can feel part of a team with a group strangers in any game.
Maybe in a MOBA since everyone has a distinct role to fill at the beginning of the game

if you want to feel teamwork you need to be playing with a group of known people, and i think that is like that in any fps

yesterday i played like 2 hours, some attrition and some hardpoint thingy with 2 friends over skype. We were able to win some of those matches even though we were lvl 5 against a good bunch of lvls 10+ people

saying "im capturing A, you go to B" or "dont go to C its guarded by 3 titans" changes the game completely

of course that is not something that only happens in titanfall, is like this since forever

with that logic, why play any newer games? we should all still be playing DOOM then.

The logic behind it is:

CS:GO can be had for as low as a few bucks on sale. It has competitive play (5v5) and dedicated servers for all kinds of play modes. Its running on the same engine as Titanfall and in my opinion it looks better and plays better.

You can go and play Titanfall hop in your kill streak mechs and shoot em up Call of Duty style. Ill stick with a shooter that cost next to nothing and by all merits is better than Titanfall. I mean that is based on that fact that you were excited based on the competitive play. Its so competitive they had to include bots.

And what merit is that? Fun? Nope. Setting? Nope.

I'm sure since you're SO much smarter than the COD players, you've determined from the beta of a game you've probably not even played that it has no merits which would warrant it being fun.

First off, CS:GO doesn't even look better than Titanfall - not sure how you came to that conclusion. The only way Titanfall FELT like a Source game is when you have someone with a ping over 100. It looks nothing like source, it's too "soft" compared to the "sharp" Source games from Valve.

Second, Titans are NOT kill streak rewards. You will get a Titan faster by taking objectives, killing players AND killing NPCs. But, you can stand in one place and still get it.

CS:GO is the same game that CSS is. It didn't do anything new, and CSS didn't do anything to improve on CS retail or CS beta.

So, the graphics are finalized. The weapon balance is finalized. All of this determined by someone who hasn't played the game is admitted all COD plays are of inferior mental capacity than himself (because he is obviously a genius!).

Graphics are for the most part finalized only thing that could possibly happen is some polish but thats about it. And maybe I do find COD players to be a little on the coo-coo side, that's just my own correlation study and is in no way indicative of being true. However, I don't like the game, I will not like the game. I will not purchase the game, or any game that has the same BS style of play. I don't support **REMOVED**, remember thats my opinion, that this game is complete and utter bull **REMOVED**.

You see the difference with CS 1.6, CS:S, and CS:GO. Is that it wasn't a series or a new entire game to begin with, they were all suppose to be upgrades to the current version. CS settled at 1.6, then valve ported CS over the source engine to show off its capabilities. And then you have CS:GO where valve wanted to further show off their engine and create a CS game with easier competitive play.

Completely different from all the Call of Duties, that are marketed as a new game every single year. They throw a $60 price tag on a piece of shit game that plays exactly the same as the last one. Yet they are full release/priced titles. This is not the same business model that was used for the counter-strike series, there is no comparison on that.

Then you got Titanfall, I mean come on...lets be real the same idiots who worked on call of duty. They knew if they copied the same game model it would sell because **REMOVED** Call of Duty is doing crazy money in sales, but they also knew it couldn't be exactly the same. So they decided **REMOVED** how can we get money out of call of duty idiots without them knowing. OH I KNOW! release the same game with a mech and some parkour, they will eat that **REMOVED** up like candy. Guess what boys? IT WORKS! Cant wait for the next COD clone that adds some "new" **REMOVED** mechanic to hide the fact that its basically the same game.

Have you even tried the beta?
No I personally didn't play it, but I sat and watched my buddy play it for a few minutes, that was enough for me to see what the game was

This game is so stupid and I don't like the feel of it or any mechanics despite never having interacted with it because it looks just like call of doody.
