This whole thread started with a complaint in the first place. But the title was changed so I guess that excuses you.

Anyway, you guys made me change my mind, I love everything about this game. 12 players max is just right and we don't need real dedicated servers. Killing the npc guys is lots of fun and even if it was twice the size I would still buy it. Anyone that complains about any of these things just doesn't have a clue (don't try to discuss it, it's a fact).

D'awww that's just cute.

Anyway, my #1 concern is the lack of dedicated servers. FPS games have a long time issue with hackers, and the primary defenses are punkbuster/VAC type countermeasures along with active administrators. Matchmaking removes the latter, and I don't know where the developers Titanfall will stand on the former.

It's comforting to see public opinion for this game swaying more favorably post-beta, but this can change days/weeks post-launch when the hackers get a handle on their programs.

Never played through Halo 3, or Reach, or Dawn of War 2's campaign, etc. Multiplayer only for those, though I guess it may have been because the campaigns for those games were terrible. If they had awesome campaigns I would have played them. A FPS with an awesome campaign, these days? LOL!

Well, some FPS games have very intriguing back stories and lore. Like Halo for example and Metro 2033/Last Light.

I'll take that. It says global edition and shows release date of march 13 but it comes out on 11th in US. I wonder if I'll have any issues being in the US. Shows up as $47 for me.

Yea I was wondering the same thing..if there is any drawback to global keys. If I had an Xbox this would be a good buy but for PC I think the community may dwindle which is why I would rather get a deal.

Ended up getting my key and preloading in origin right now. Thanks. Paid 33 bucks with the conversion rate. In origin it says multiple languages. So it's about 50gb including all languages including English.

It is an international version in all languages. And it looks like theres going to be a season pass for 25 bucks. It is show right under the game in origin.

Yea its international. Mine is done preloading. You should be able to remove all languages except English when it's done installing.

I dont think that has anything to do with the size, it is loaded with audio files. I have no idea why is so much. Maybe they are not compressing stuff.

Does it reduce the size of the install if you remove the other languages?

It's currently unpacking 34gb of audio. After its completely installed I'll look around to see if in the install directory I can remove other languages.

Edit: it's done installing and I looked at the install log and the locale is set to EN_US so my guess it installed the English edition but inside the install directory there are other language files too.

I'm sure you can select the language at startup of the game in the options. I dont think we can remove the other languages without messing stuff up in the install directory.

I also heard that even the US edition alone was about 40-50 gb.

Yup mine looked the same as well when it was unpacking. Well I'm ready to play when it's available. I'll probably pick up the extra add on pack after I get infamous second son next week.

34 GB of audio is 3308 hours of CD quality (44.1Khz/16bit stereo) sound. What is in there that requires over 3300 hours of sound at that quality? Even if its uncompressed that is over 55 CDs of complete sound, that is insane especially considering that the game didn't really seem to do that much with its sound when I played. Was all pretty standard.

Agree 100%. Maybe they should have made the uncompressed audio optional as it can hurt their sales globally. A 50GB file can actually deter buyers. I thought MGS:R was bad but this is worse, it honestly doesn't offer anything to justify it's size. My BF4 folder is swelling towards the 40GB mark but I find it justified.

I don't really mind games getting bigger it's been happening since the very first game and part of the progress but when games exceed the current average game size as much as TF does, the bulk of should be in visual assets and/or content.
