I have a 7850 and have to run 720p to not get frame drops. Tried 1080 last night and was getting a ton of frame drops on certain levels. Def hurt my ability to play the game.

I had it on max and it was fine before the patch. They will need another update or more than one possibly to fix it.

Even though the game is horribly unoptimized and you have to play it in low settings to get decent frame rates, it's hard to tell the difference most of the time anyway. The only time I really notice low model/texture details sticking out is in the dropship at the beginning of a round. The rest of the time things happen too fast to really take notice of poor details.

The slowness and unoptimized effects of the patch do not really change my overall game performance it just sucks to play like that. Hope they make it better.

Single Radeon 6970, I turned up the settings to just shy of maximum and the game plays "smoothly" enough for me to end up MVP of my team more often than not. I've never examined the specific frame-rate, barring extremes framerate counting just detracts from the fun of the game, it's like looking at an otherwise nice car and only paying attention to the scratches.

No I just have all max settings I think 4x msaa and 16x AA with the details set to the highest available. It plays fine it seems but there are hiccups about every match. Long loading times, maybe one or two crashes in game.

I tend to get major FPS drops when fighting against an enemy titan at close range. Sometimes goes down to 20 fps or less briefly. This is at all minimum graphics settings and SLI 680 GTX's.

The key word in your statement was SLI which is proving to be problematic with the game.

I play all max except AA. Zero issues, and I think the game moves fast enough that you won't notice either. i5 4670k and GTX 760 w/ 8 GB DDR-1600.

Outside of the patch problems, has this game been a failure? This game was mega hyped and now you don't hear anything about it. Many of the youtube commentators don't even put up videos about it anymore.

I still like the game and I prefer it to COD right now. Shame there is not a huge community for it.

Probably since its really rinse and repeat stuff like cod. After a couple of weeks I don't expect much cod stuff either once it's released. Unless there are some neat dlc add-ons.

Every time Respawn has announced anything related to the game, it gets reported on.

I'd say they're doing just fine. It's a heck of a lot more fun to play than watch.

I've been on a couple boards where people talk about their loadouts and how they work them. And they're still discussing it.

Origin is having a sale on this right now. $48 for regular or $68 with season pass. I was going to wait till cheaper, but a long weekend with a sale sounds like good timing to me.

the game is really a lot of fun. Playing with everything maxed at 2560x1600 and I get an occasional hiccup when the screen is full of players and titans. May turn off AA and see how it does. I haven't monitored frame rates since the game is running smoothly. I could care less if it were 30 or 90 as long as I don't notice and it's smooth.

As for gameplay it's a ton of fun. Only a level 20 so far (only played 3 hours total) but digging the burn cards and different weapons and strategy with some. Usually about mid pack on most maps. Well worth $40-50 imo. Haven't gotten the season pass yet...may just pick that up as I go. It's only a $10 difference.

Yeah, I'm not saying problems are in people's heads, but I'm pretty surprised by it. My son runs it on his 8800GT just fine, and I had some POS budget card that ran at Medium settings with no problems. I have a 760 now with everything maxed out at 1080 and have zero problems.

And the community is plenty large, it's just that Titanfall isn't about the community, it's about playing the game. Unless Respawn decides to open it up I doubt there will be the level of modding/custom servers/etc that games like Battlefield have, and that's fine by me.

Same here. Mods are great for games that were "broken" when they were released. Mods are the kiss of death for games like Titanfall IMO. All they do is splinter the hell out of the community and server admins love to differentiate their servers with insane settings and mods. I love that TF's server infrastructure is closed.

Oh, and I quit playing BF4 as soon as I picked up TF. Haven't looked back.

Finally reached gen 2 today and got to level 6. I've been putting that off. I still play bf4 when my buddy is on the ps4. After Tf bf4 is hard to get back in to.

Same with me. Having a lot of fun with TF.

Not that I've got a decent amount of time in I definitely think the Chaingun with Accelerator is the best Titan weapon. When it gets going that thing absolutely wrecks other titans. I'm finding I get a lot more titan kills and assists with it, followed by the 40mm cannon and triple threat.
