OK, got a question. Is anyone moving your attack<->defense wholesale when you are in attack mode? For example, wait for 5 clean IPs, sell your defense for attack, loot your 5 attacks, sell defense, buy defense, wait for 5 clean IPs. Rinse and repeat.

Is it worth the 25% hit to keep your defense high between attacks? It's a hell of a tax, but if it gets you access to higher returns since you are attacking higher players...

Not talking about "banking" credits in attack/defense, I get that part.

Also, how are you targeting whales on the low end of the rankings? From what I can tell, anyone who goes a week or so without being farmed will build up a lot of credits with a level 4ish virus. That means even whales will be spread all over the place in the rankings.

You can do the math yourself, just take 25% of your defense money and see how much attack it would get you. Then see how much money you would have to make in attacks to pay for it.

It could move you up really fast if you knew who to hit, but if you messed up and didn't get enough profit it would ruin it.

You're stuff would be insanely expensive in no time since everything goes up in price the more you buy it. You buy it then sell it at a loss then to buy it again it'd be more expensive then sell it at a loss then buy it again and it's even more expensive than last time.

Yeah I sold a bunch, but I'll get it all back pretty soon Had some big losses today on my infected computer count.

I just did something really stupid.

I figured I had enough to update to lvl 6 virus, so I started selling off my computers and connections. About halfway through selling, I thought that I wasn't going to have enough, so I stopped selling (looking back, I would have had enough, but I'm really tired and not thinking straight). So after selling a bunch of stuff and being worried about having that much just sitting there without good enough defense, I upgraded my vault a few times. I really don't know if that's a strategy that makes any sense at all at this point.

So I'm going to bed now

If you read the newbie guides, they give you a certain amount of money the more computers you have infected per tick.

Actually that turned out to be a pretty decent move. Despite spending 200k+ on vaults last night, after my morning attacks I was still able to afford the lvl 6 upgrade.
