The largest determining factor of rank is virus level. He has a low virus level, so his rank is comparatively low.

Man...I have been getting shit all day...250cr here...maybe 1k there. Yesterday I got some decent hits but not so lucky today.

Is there anything in particular I should be looking for when I choose a target?

Should I be hitting online or offline players?...does it really matter?

noticed that about 80k had gone missing from my coffers, though still had 50k sitting around. made those^ runs and promptly upgraded to lvl 5 virus by selling only ~4k kbps.

I wish I could downgrade my virus. The game is hilarious when you don't worry about infected machines and keep your vault large enough to contain the loot from pillaging.
