Yep I noticed that and it umm says it on the top in the newb guide so it stops you from buying a lot of the cheapest. This thing is addicting. Damn this sucks. Ganna spend all my time on this.

I was just thinking, in addition to the credits you can earn from attacks and growing your network, it'd be neat if there was some sort of app that used CPU/GPU cycles (kind of like folding) to actually generate credits, or perhaps contributed to a stronger network in the game.

I accidentally attacked an ATOT player before he had the ATOT. reguser
That was the one where I got 67% of 0 credits.

I see talk of some of the lue people having as many as 900,000 credits vulnerable.
Also, I don't know what I did wrong today - at one point I had sold *all* of my mhz and kbps & upgraded my virus. I've since purchased about the same amount of mhz and kbps back. Have a much bigger vault, etc.

Also, I did the math wrong earlier. Here is how upgrading the virus works over 24 hours (assuming you're not attacked):
Let's say you start with 40 infected computers at the time you move to the level 3 virus. Each tick, you gain control of 16 computers. It costs a total of 15k+30k+60k = 105k to get to that virus.
However,
1 tick: 40*5
2 tick (40+16)*5
3 tick (40 + 16 + 16)*5
4 tick (40 + 16 + 16 + 16 + 16)*5
etc.

Factor out the 5 (thinking out loud here), the rest is an arithmetic sequence. Sum = (1st + last)(# of ticks)/2
over 24 hours, the last will be 40+47*16 = 792

So, in one day, you can potentially receive [(40+792)(48)/2] * 5 credits = 99,840 credits.

fast forward to day 2:
upgrade to level 4 virus. 32 infections gained per tick...
Let's start with those 792 infected computers... Over 275,000 credits on day 2.

Now, factor in a few good attacks and you can move forward even faster! But, you have to decide how much risk you want to take... So, there's the vaults...

This is all assuming you don't get attacked and your credits get stolen. I've been attacked 3 times today and gotten most of my credits taken.
