No update on Darlene. Dragging that one out for one more episode.

Dom also said "people" were killed. That diner didn't look that full...

Well the shooter killed himself...so it could be Darlene's boyfriend, the shooter and maybe one other person in the restaurant (cook, waitress).

based off of what's happening in Season 2, I think Season 3 will the be last for the show

I also don't see how Elliot doesn't end up back in jail or decide to permanently be lost in his own injected reality

I don't think there's any way this show will end with a "happy" ending which I'm fine with

It's been stated Sam has 5-6 seasons planned out already. This is public knowledge so I don't mind sharing it. Glad everyone is liking the show.

This season is even weirder than season 1, but I still want to know what "Phase 2" is all about.

I hope the show keeps getting weirder with each season. I love it! As with everyone else, I thought the season started off slow, but I otherwise enjoyed it thoroughly. And then it kicked it up a notch, and has turned the whole season into one hell of a show.

It looks like next week's episode should be amazing, with a lot of secrets/twists revealed.

Also, why the hell name the finale episodes pt1 and pt2 if you still split them up across the regular weekly schedule? At least gives us back to back nights, or better yet, a two hour finale. I think it was created for that but USA decided otherwise.

I hope Sam has the opportunity to create 5-6 seasons for Mr. Robot

the show, itself, while critically acclaimed has not been performing well ratings wise

I know a 3rd season has been OKed, but don't know how long the execs are going to continue value the show being appreciated by critics over TV ratings

Meh, the awards are bullshit. Outlander got completely passed over by the Emmy's -- again? It has ratings, I think after getting both a season 3 and 4 renewal, and the production quality, acting, everything is just top notch. The show may even have good demographics with a large chunk of the viewers being men despite being a Harlequin romance on the surface. What does it get? Like a costume nomination and some other technical thing.

This is a curious read. Esmail has been very particular about Easter eggs and these kind of casual references. It is best to assume nothing is a coincidence or plot error. Such as the TV resetting after the blackout to the same time in the newscast.

I definitely wouldn't mind it the show continued to get even weirder.

Still trying to figure out the connection between they Japanese minister and White Rose. I assume there is a connection, gotta be. Obsessed with clocks/time, and he had all those dresses for "his sister" when he has no sisters.

Definitely excited to see next episode and next season. I think this show is going to keep changing directions, and absolutely love it.

I thought that was the official was chinese, not japanese? and i was thinking the official and white rose were the same person, hence why he had the dresses. I dunno, this show is damn confusing.

Chinese - the Minister for State Security or something like that. And they're the same person, yeah

I'm pretty sure he said "sister" because the Chinese are very not understanding about cross dressing. He wouldn't be able to hold his position if they knew how he dressed.

I'd love to move on from this show, but the woman keeps wanting to watch it through the season at least. I think the show just keeps getting farther and farther out there and is becoming less interesting. I feel like they could have gone more of a Breaking Bad route of things that are possible, and the characters dealing with the fallout. Instead we get artsy crap of 80s sit coms and other 'plot twists' that don't matter. (Did E being in prison really matter? It didn't effect the story, even less so now he's out). Keep the blonde in that room while the child asked questions had to be one of hte stupidest things yet. The only character that seems to be grounded in reality is the FBI agent, and honestly her talking to Amazon's toy was a very long waste of time.

It's funny that I actually found myself agreeing with the CEO of E-Corp that Bitcoin is a dangerous choice for a national currency because it's basically controlled by Chinese Bitcoin miners now. The "being at transaction capacity" statement isn't much of a stretch, either. It already takes forever for transactions to confirm at its existing load.

It's too bad that JesusCoin didn't catch on, because it would have fixed those issues

Is it confirmed Whiterose and Minister Zheng are indeed the same person? I didn't like the episode much, the interview scene went on far too long and I'm pissed they didn't get to the interograting of Darlene yet. I'm just hanging on to see what Phase 2 is all about now, 1 more episode to go.

Woops, you're right. Everything has been about China with all of this.

Ah, yes, looking it up now it is confirmed. I figured that to be the case but was waiting for a real reveal, figuring Esmail was going to draw it out and not just give us the direct confirmation by way of the wardrobe.

I'm pretty sure he said "sister" because the Chinese are very not understanding about cross dressing. He wouldn't be able to hold his position if they knew how he dressed.

I don't think it has anything to do with being afraid of outing himself as a cross-dresser. Rather, it's all about ensuring people are not aware of his multiple roles: he's the minister of state security, and he's also a massive organizer/head of a hacking outfit. His crossdressing is presumably the only way he felt comfortable being able to play both roles, because if he was outed as being both, I'm sure he'd be in a world of shit. He couldn't just say, "oh, they are my dresses because I do something else when not acting as a Chinese official."

For the longest time though, I just thought Whiterose was an incredibly ugly woman. But after seeing the wardrobe scene with the minister, I was almost certain he was crossdressing, but couldn't guarantee it. But as BD Wong is credited as Whiterose (never thought to look it up before!), that confirms suspicions.

However, a wiki on the show claims Whiterose is actually transgender, and delineates male and female behavior between his dual roles. I don't know if that has been explicitly confirmed or is just a hunch... he's definitely crossdressing, good enough to make me think it's just an ugly woman, but I don't know if that's to separate the roles or is how he'd prefer to dress and behave if not for his role in the government (of which you are correct, being a crossdresser or transgender would never fly for a Chinese official).
