that's hilarious. Nothing in Ballers was ever funny. Such a terrible show in total.

Shows the taste of the least common denominator type of audience we tend to expect. :\

As for Mr Robot...I never got past episode 7 or 8 or something. Just....something I don't like about this show.

You are correct about everything in this post relating to both shows.

What makes me sad is if Ballers is such a huge hit for HBO, they start going that "least common denominator" route more -- which they have pretty much avoided until Ballers.

I find Ballers interesting in the same way that Entourage was for awhile. Its like a modern day Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.

haha Probably dating myself with that reference. I dont watch the real housewives stuff, but thats probably right. That kind of show is more acceptable to watch when its with athletes. Kinda like the CW comic book shows are basically Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, Gilmore Girls, etc, but for nerds.

Plus, The Rock makes everything better. This is a universal truth.

I do like the Rock in that show, and he got better by the end, as his character got more interesting, but I still see no real point to the show.

As I said in last year's thread, if it had jokes it would be one thing, but it isn't even funny. Just young athletes with shit loads of money and their silly problems.

I never watched Entourage, but I've heard that comparison before. I also never wanted to watch Entourage because it always looked stupid to me. :\

yeah. To be honest I didn't watch the first season until they approached me about working on the second. Its good tv. Mind you I have seen 2 scenes and read all the scripts so far. Going to nyc on friday to record the city with my holophone and get access to props for recording.
