Yeah they're now working for me also. The 1st time I tried it I was only pressing the play button on the video itself and it wouldn't do anything, then I tried pressing the play button in the controls at the bottom and it worked.

interesting, our builds are similar. mine's not even OC'd, haha. I was getting errors with adobe flash actually (after a kexts install), and reinstalled adobe, but still back at not playing.

in safari, I get a "you have a power pc, can't play"

what was your hackintosh install method?

If it's using Silverlight, it checks to see if you have a Mac-compatible CPU. Stuff like Core 2 Quads aren't in any Apple-branded machines, so it will fail. Or if the name isn't properly done up.

Hi Everyone. My Hackintosh has been running smoothly for a few weeks now, untill today... I can't seem to print to my HP 1010, no matter what I try. I would like to keep my current install. But if Kaido's latest guide, plus files, would create a better Hackintosh, I'll bite the bullit and re-install. My current Hac was setup with Kaido's original guide and files. Your ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks! PS. My setup does not use the flash drive method.

Partition your hard drive using Disk Utility & install my new setup on that partition. Then select it when booting using the Darwin bootloader. Give the printer a try & see if it works

Sorry, I bought the card but have not installed it yet. I'm running on the on board video gma950 right now. It works okay, but I get an artifact now and then with it. Thought I would try the 7200 because it works so well in my P35. As for a source, I just bought one on Ebay, might check there.

2. Install Leopard, using Kaido's guide of course. After Leopard is installed, updated and bootable, insert the Vista DVD into the optical drive and restart the computer.

Highlight the partition you setup earlier and reformat the drive as NTFS so that Vista can be installed. Once reformatted select NEXT to install Vista. Sit back and relax or have a snack while Vista installs, it ain't quick.

4. Once Vista has been installed and it has checked your computer's performance, etc., you can use Internet Explorer to downloaded EASYBCD. Just Google for EASYBCD and it should be the first link. After EASYBCD is installed, run it to setup the dual boot.

5. Vista will be the only OS shown when you start the program, so you will need to add your install of Leopard to the boot menu. Select Add/Remove Entries under the EasyBCD Toolbox for this. Under Add an Entry, click on Mac and click the pull down menu and select Generic x86 PC. Change the name to whatever you wish to use and finally click Add Entry. You should see the name you chose in the Manage Existing Entries window above. Click Save.

6. Next select Change Settings from the EasyBCD ToolBox. Under Global Settings, select your Default OS and the Bootloader Timeout. Click Save Settings. That's about it.

The way I did it was to choose Leopard as my default OS and set the timeout to 5 seconds. So when my system boots it goes to the Vista bootloader and Leopard is highlighted. After the 5 seconds is up, control is transferred to the Darwin bootloader and there is another 5 second pause before Leopard starts up. If this is too long for you adjust the timeout in EasyBCD and/or for the Darwin bootloader.

Be sure to use a HD of sufficient space. Vista requires about 30 Gb minimum and I wouldn't recommend any less than that for Leopard. About the minimum drive size I would recommend if using the shared data partition is 80 Gb. Leopard (30 GB), Vista (30 Gb), Data (20 Gb).

mosslack thanks for the quick guide on installing vista. Can you answer one question for me? When I try selecting the HDD for Vista to install in, I get a "This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer BIOS menu." Any idea how to fix that? The HDD is connected to the last SATA port on my pc, not sure if that makes a difference...

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, but I was away Christmas eve and day until just now. As for the message you get I can't really say. I know when I installed Vista on mine, the HD was hooked up to one of the first two ports, per Kaido's guide, so I didn't experience any problem. Since the original install I have switched it to the last port and it continues to work just fine there. Only thing I can think of is perhaps Vista doesn't see those last 2 ports like OS X doesn't see them. HTH

Thanks Kaido. Well, after the fourth reboot, the printer is working again. D'oh. I'll wait for the updated 10.5.6 guide, and then do a new install. Again, thanks for your tireless work dude! I love my Hackintosh! I was amazed to see how easy it is to create a new partition using Disk Utility. Leopard works with me. Vista seems to always work against me lol.

Okay, I believe the problem was/is the DSDT.AML file. Originally I tried the taruga patcher with the DSDT file in place. I since remove it to get my firewire back. I just tried the taruga again and now it works. Even better I now have a level control for the line out, digital out and headphones as well. Very cool.

I don't have the DSDT.aml file and taruga still doesn't work for me.

The 512mb version of the Zotac 7300GT is not compatible. It has been tested and does not work.

How do you recommend dual booting with vista (two seperate HDs?) I attempted to earlier tonight, my vista drive is on the 4 sata port (1-OSX, 2-DVD, 3-250 Misc files, 4-Windows) When formatted the drive, vista install kept telling me none of the drives were suitable for install. Does vista have to be on the first drive? (I'm trying to install vista x64). I remember having this same problem when I installed vista on my hackintosh with the p5w-dh, but I cannot remember what I did to get it done.

I suppose I'll try removing all the drives but the vista and dvd drive...

I think you need to be on port 0 or 1.. but that depends on your boot loader/etc. I was able to boot off port 3, but I used gigabytes built in boot drive picker

Yup, you hdd needs to be in one of the 1st 2 ports. I kept getting the same issue as you QurazyQuisp and my SATA devices were setup just as yours but following mosslack guide and tips I was able to install and dual boot. I'm not sure how to link to a post but you can find the post on this page. I didn't follow the EASYBCD instructions he posted, I just used the mb's bootloader (F12) to boot into vista.

so.... does anyone use Disco? I burned 4 DVD coasters with it (trying different settings). Disk Utility was fine (I was under the impression Disco was a fancy front end to Disk Utility w/ a few extras).

In Disk Utility, I get a "unsupported" listed for Burn Support. System Profiler disagrees and lists generic support.
