Yes Mosslack, this is a GA-P35-DS3L and I also do find it strange that not everything was working after installing the package of Kaido.

I am now trying to find a workaround method for the 3rd and 4rth SATA port. Mayby I just have to put the second HD in through the USB port in the back.

Tried to change a few options under sound in the systempreferences but there was nothing realy to change because it didn't found any connected devices.

What do you think Mosslack, should I update to the latest package of Kaido because there seems to be a difference between the package I used and the one in the link that you sended me........

When i press enter, to boot into my hard drive and i saw this: INPUT NOT SUPPORT
What things went wrong?
I am using P35-DS3L v.2, and my graphic is: ASUS: EN8400GS 256MB. I think my graphic is support with the list right? "NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS 256MB"
Here is the link to my graphic card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16814121240

mosslack -- I also see you have an GA-EP45-UD3P w/ the same Proc. I have. What kind of RAM do you use on your board? Any issues when you tried to go above 2 GB? And I'm just curious which video card you like best out of all 4 boxes you have. Thanks!

Yes that would be the best course of action to use the latest package and follow Kaido's instructions. If you think about how many people have been successful using this method I think you will agree if it doesn't work then there is either a problem with your hardware or you made a mistake in the installation. When you hit enter, type 80 to boot to your hard drive. Additionally, you can always try the 123boot cd to load up to the OS manually, see if that works.

It had better be supported as I just ordered a similar card for my latest Hack. When you get the message the INPUT NOT SUPPORT, is this right after you press enter to boot or later on during the boot process? Try typing "-v" at the boot prompt and then press enter and see what the messages say.

Yes I have the board, the case and a few other components, but it's not together yet. I do have 4 Gb in my DS3L and it works great. I chose the video cards I did because they simply work. I have no special needs as far as video is concerned, other than to watch an occasional DVD.

Changed the settings in the bios. In spite of the biossettings of Kaido (page 1) i disabled the AHCI mode under integrated peripherals. This did the trick for me. Have now 4 SATA ports working!!!

It should tell you if your memory is good or not. Try putting all 4 sticks in and run it for 7 passes. If it comes back with errors run it with your new 2GB sticks if it comes back with errors again run it 1 by 1 till you find the faulty stick and send it back in to get a new one.

Ok is this perhaps your monitor giving this message? I have one that is very picky about what resolutions it will except, this sounds like your problem. When the boot prompt appears type "Graphics Mode"="1024x768x32" to see if that gets you going. If not, perhaps you have another monitor you can plug in to see if it is less picky. HTH

It's good you have it working, but it should work with the AHCI enabled if you installed using the Uinstaller from the latest DS3L kit. Be sure to select each item that Kaido recommends and the drivers for AHCI will be installed. I have my board hooked to port 4 and it boots fine from there.

I think my monitor not supported, because when i type "graphics mode" it let me boot into Mac and i am done setup up. But i can't change my display resolutions. There are only "1024x768". Is there anyway to change the display resolutions?
And when i restart my Mac, I have to type in "graphics mode" otherwise it not let me in. Any ideas? Thanks
I got another problem, After i install the 610 mb 10.5.5 Combo Update, I am stuck at the logo boot.
Can't do anything, i try to restart it but not working.

I have the same problems. The first one is fixed by going into OSx86 Tools and changing the resolution settings in "Add EFI Strings/Boot Flag" menu.

I am still on 10.5.1 because the 10.5.5 hangs like yours. In Verbose boot I get a lot of problems...

Did you use the Uinstaller to install your particular video card? You need to do that so that you will have your resolutions. Also in the display preferences, try clicking the Detect Displays button so it will recognize your monitor. HTH

You need to use time machine to restore back to an older state, or use an older backup if you have one.

OSx86 Tools is a Utility included in Kaido's BOOT132 package in the Toolkit.dmg image.

If you don't have a backup, then the only way I know to downgrade is to reinstall and start over.

When I install Mac OS into my hard driver using my Mac, and after that i did use Uinstaller to install my video card which is:
"Apple EFI String for video card: NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS 256MB"
Is that my video card? Is that what you check to your video card to right? because you said you brought the same card as mine.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16814121240
In my display preferences, i don't see "Detect Displays" in my display preferences.
Also, how can i update to 10.5.5? When i try safemode to boot after update to 10.5.5, it works fine, but when I do a normal boot into 10.5.5, it stuck on the apple logo and the circle. Any ideas to make this work? Thanks

Yes, that is the proper card selection, but at this point you should have already upgraded to 10.5.6. I fear you are not using the same instructions we all used. If you used a Mac to install Leopard, you need to move the HD over to the hackintosh after it is installed. I'm just not clear on how you did this.

Yeah - I just booted my system up to the Boot-123 CD, then swapped it for the Leopard Retail Disc. Installed the OS. After it rebooted I went ahead and updated the system to 10.5.6. Reboot. Continue to update the system, reboot. After that, loaded up the rest Uninstalled on the thumb drive (Tools .DMG I believe?) and loaded the Video drivers and some other Misc. Kext files for my specific MB and onboard sound. Reboot, then I'm good. I'm only saying this because like Mosslack, I am somewhat confused on exactly what problems you are having. I should also say, make sure your bios settings are 100% correct, and that you aren't using any IDE devices, only SATA. I hope this helps.

To mosslack: Yes, i used external USB enclosed to setup my harddriver in my mac, then I take my hard driver out and plug it into my hackintosh computer.
But i got every work okay now, After update to 10.5.5, i did to run the uinstaller again. But when i used "OSx86 Tools Utility by PCWiz Computer " To change "About this Mac". Now every in there is mess up.
IS where anyway to fit that. Thanks
