Hi - I'm interested in a Hackintosh desktop, because newer 5K iMACs have stopped supporting Target Display Mode, so should the cpu/video become long in the tooth, I won't be able to re-use the 5K display as a dedicated one. iMAC Pro will be prohibitively expensive, and I anticipate the next gen Mac Pros will also be out of reach price-wise. Plus, it's probably well over 1-1.5 years away from release.
So, I'd like to go with a Hackintosh for that reason. I don't want to, however, need a load of patches, Kext's, and other workarounds in order to build one. Given that the new iMAC Pros will be using Vega 56 and 64 (I think) and Intel CPU, those should be supported natively soon, out of the box. No need for workarounds.
So, I'm wondering, does there exist a current configuration that is pretty much (1) build machine, (2) run multi-beast or clover to install OSX, (3) install any device drivers, (4) no Kext's or other workarounds, (5) able to update the system to new Mac OS X (like from Sierra to High Sierra) using the same methods as real Mac's.. no hacks.
If this is possible, could someone share what configs are known working?
I'm not looking for ultra old configs.. right now I'm looking at i7-7700K quad core + whatever the most powerful video card that is natively support right now would be (I think I have to wait for native support of Vega until iMac Pros are out), 4K monitor, good quality audio device, LAN, bluetooth, SSD.
