Had some 'road rage' today

So it was rush hour (about 10 min after 5) and I was on my way home from work and of course traffic on the freeway was slow. I made my way over to the carpool lane (I was with my sister) which usually gets me home quickly with very little traffic but today I got stuck behind this middle aged lady in some red generic looking car.

When I pulled up behind her she was going maybe five under the posted speed limit, which wasn't too bad and was still slightly faster than the traffic to our right, so I figured she just pulled in to the lane and was speeding up. I was wrong. 3 minutes later she was still going slow and apparently having a pretty animated conversation with her passenger, waving her arms around and such.

I (and everyone behind me) was starting to get pissed since there was just wide open space ahead of her, but traffic to the right was too dense for an effective pass. A few minutes later I was still on her tail and I gave her a short 'friendly' reminder honk to speed the fvck up. She completely ignored it.

Finally, after being stuck behind her for an insurmountable amount of time, traffic opened up and I made a pretty close pass barely clearing her car, while waving my finger the whole time. I doubt she even noticed. Discuss?

The part where the old lady catches up to you, forces you over to the shoulder and drags your pansy-ass out of the car and proceeds to give you a severe beat down. And since you flipped her the bird, she bites off your finger and forces it down your throat while you beg for mercy and your sister commits suicide because she has lost all respect for you and knows your family can never live down the shame of you getting pwned by an old lady.

Is that part coming?

I'm pretty sure that on average women drivers are worse than men.

Now, I obviously don't think that women drivers are generally bad (but it's fun to generalize).

BUT, my wife works with a lady who's about 60 years old. Very nice lady but a little feisty. She ALWAYS drives in the fastlane right at or just under the speed limit.

Why?

Because it affords her a clear view the road for the next mile.

THAT pisses me off.

Eh...I dont see the problem. I usually have to pass 4-5 slow people on the right every day. As far as traffic on the right not letting you...well, you need to make them let you.

umm... when non-HOV lanes are moving slower than the HOV lane.... it's pretty much impossible to pass. assuming it's pretty close to bumper to bumper. At least here.. even if you're doing 10 below on the HOV lane, you're still flying by everyone on the right.

That doesn't sound so bad. At least she had a passenger in there. I've seen as*hats in the HOV not only go slow but also they were the only person in the car -- that's a recipe for road rage for anyone.
