<--- Beginning a hiatus from EvE, hopefully it lasts more than 3 months this time.(already done that twice, it just won't let me free) Shooting people is so much fun, especially when they just don't sit there and die , EvE has the best PvP ever.

I miss my muninn

I have 3 Gaming capable desktops and 1 laptop. My main rig can multibox ( 2 EVE accounts at once is very easy ) and out of circumstances... I had 2 CoH accounts active at once after I got rid of my first Wow account ( traded a 60 rogue for another CoH account with 8 lvl 50s ) and my last WoW account max was a 23 hunter. I have an extra 45 bux a month now... guess its time for a third EVE account! No... I am not addicted... I mean... <pauses to sip coffee> I don't watch TV [much ... SG-A and Battlestar galactica recorded via HTPC] so EVE is my entertainment... EVE is like... secondary to ... coffee ... and pepsi... then EVE... mwahahaha.

Grats to everyone who quit in this thread.

I also quit today..

Whatever people may say about WoW, it is a terrible addiction to kick. Don't think I've ever been so hooked on a game.

The PvP implementation is just evil.. You know it's bad but once you start the grind, it's hard to get off that hamster wheel.

I quit wow for BF2...and better grades. That game is boring as crap after your 10millionth BWL raid. Seriously, can a game get any more repetative?

I haven't played WoW in about 6 months but I keep meaning to go back.
Hehe It was time consuming but I liked playing the game. I think the reason I stopped playing was cause I started playing other games and just never got back to that game.

I have no idea how anyone could pay for 5 MMO's per month. That's alot of time and alot of money to spend on those games. I didn't mind WoW so much cause I wasn't really spending any money on other games so I didn't notice it as much, but if I was spending over $50 a month on online games, then it's past an addiction.

pot. kettle. black.

Big difference between posting occationally on a message board and spending hours/days/years playing a game...

I've been trying to play WoW more, but I've moved to a new server and doing it all again and knowing what awaits in MC/BWL isn't really sparking any excitement. I'm still waiting for EVE skills to train up so I suppose I need something to do in the days that it takes.

Edit: Frankly I'm looking to get some gear replaced after someone jacked with my main, and then I'll probably just toss it to the curb.

Is this how a MMORPG obsession ends? It's kinda sad..

That's exactly how my WoW spree ended...

While I miss playing the game, I can't say I'm sad about the $2K I got for it

Also stopped but mostly because the PVP implementation sucks. I would SO love to raid the big cities but everyone is afraid of the civilians -> losing honor -> blabla.

My story...

Played from first day possible and had a 60 Shaman on Mal'Ganis. Quit after 4 or 5 months. Came home from a vacation and just didn't know what to do next... I wasn't in an end-game guild or anything at the time, so wasn't really attached or pressured to play anymore. Quit cold turkey.

So I took the summer off to do my main RL activities. I do a lot in summer, but winter I don't have many things I like to do.

This last fall, I started WoW again. This time an Alliance Druid. I got hooked all over again. Now I'm in an end-game guild, and it's hard to raid often because my girlfriend is really upset at how the game eats so much time. I've cut way back for the last two months, only play one night a week, and a bit on the weekends. She got really upset last night, so I promptly ended my subscription. I've got a week left to tie up loose ends, clear my mail, then I'm on another extended break.

I enjoy the game though, and like being able to raid one night a week. It's way better than grinding the same instances all the time, which is what causes a lot of people to quit. So I hope to be able to play again in a month or two on a set schedule. I'll force myself to NOT piss off my girlfriend. hehe
