My story...
Played from first day possible and had a 60 Shaman on Mal'Ganis. Quit after 4 or 5 months. Came home from a vacation and just didn't know what to do next... I wasn't in an end-game guild or anything at the time, so wasn't really attached or pressured to play anymore. Quit cold turkey.
So I took the summer off to do my main RL activities. I do a lot in summer, but winter I don't have many things I like to do.
This last fall, I started WoW again. This time an Alliance Druid. I got hooked all over again. Now I'm in an end-game guild, and it's hard to raid often because my girlfriend is really upset at how the game eats so much time. I've cut way back for the last two months, only play one night a week, and a bit on the weekends. She got really upset last night, so I promptly ended my subscription. I've got a week left to tie up loose ends, clear my mail, then I'm on another extended break.
I enjoy the game though, and like being able to raid one night a week. It's way better than grinding the same instances all the time, which is what causes a lot of people to quit. So I hope to be able to play again in a month or two on a set schedule. I'll force myself to NOT piss off my girlfriend. hehe
