Steam blows ass. So does EA. Therefore Valve does too?

Heh, I never said Steam was good. Steam's concept is good, but the execution is lacking.

I doubt it. It's probly a full game...not just a level. I could be wrong tho.

As for you STEAM haters, I currently use it, and have found nothing wrong. I enjoy Valve's games (DOD:S, HL2). So to say they "blow ass" is a personal opinion at best.

If you remember in HL2 when you were being transfered through the matrix looking thing (pods with people in them, transfering to and fro), those guys looked like robots to me.

QFT... Graphically it looks about just the same... That's not bad, but it could be better... Hope the HDR is integrated (without needing a Bloom HDR mod afterwards)...

Hey look at the bright side, with EA at the helm the game wont be a year late.

Itll be right on time, loaded with bugs, and in beta quality years after its release.

EA's not making it, just distributing it.

Surprisingly I never stopped playing the game, and probably finished the game at least 3 times. I still have nightmares about Ravenholm...

Its funnier then that EA is just packager and shipper for Valve. If you look at the latest Valve game boxes non of them say anything about EA. Basically they Auctioned off the shipping right so the game EA was the lowest bidder and then told them they have no other input besides moving boxes.

As for steam for me its the best thing since sliced bread. Being able to download any game at any time if I don't have the discs is a huge plus. The interface for Online gaming is top notch and ten times better then any of the crap Gamespy puts out. My only issue is with the original HL2 decryption episode on release day.

Hopefully EA won't get to involved in the development of the game and won't mess it up to much.

I dont mind steam for downloading the game, but why do I have to run it whenever I want to play the game? And it sux that you HAVE to be connected and download the updates, which seem to come out every week, even if you're not gonna play online.

Steam is great and best of all makes Valve independent of its publishers. Never had a problem with it. It hardly uses resources relative to what any of the Steam apps use, so it's a bit silly to consider it a high overhead. I get a library of about twenty games and can pick up new high quality games for usually around $20.00 without going to the store. Best of all, I never have to patch or update a frickin thing. I wish all games were distributed through Steam or something like it. How awesome would it be to go home, flip through a huge library of available games, pick one that I like, buy it and play it without any fuss?

More power to Steam! (not a Valve employee)
