funny stuff...whats even funnier is the fact that people think that this leak is the reason HL2 is getting delayed.

Its obvious folks...they weren't done with the game and this provided them an easy excuse to delay the release and blame it on (butt) pirates.

yes, i thought about it, and then immediately rejected it based on the fact that it's an idiotic statement.

has anyone ever asked themselves why someone would risk everything by hacking into valve's network to steal a game? Who would gain the most from this leak? I mean whoever did this can't sell it since he just intentionally leaked it onto the internet, everyone has it, and everyone knows it's stolen. And it certainly doesn't benefit the average joe, since now the game is further pushed back and the online gaming will now be flooded with cheats. So the question remains, who gets the most out of this is most likely the person or group behind it. Hint: carmack

Not too bad overall, but ...

The leak could also have a negative impact on graphic chip manufacturer ATI, which Valve recently named the preferred graphics card partner of Half-Life 2. ATI (ATYT: Research, Estimates) planned to give away a free copy of the game with its two latest products. The leaked version could lessen demand for those graphics cards, though.
