I don't care what anyone says. Even though this game has been delayed so much and that everyone is so bitter about the whole issue, the game itself is going to be once again one of the best games of all time if not the best.

Once again, forget what you felt about the original Half Life. Completely forget it. And then look at HL2 for what it is. I see a delayed sack of flaming s***:

Physics? already done
DX9 effects? already done
Story in FPS? already done
Textured surfaces? already done

So why is HL2 going to be so great?

1 reason my friend, game play If it doesn't deliver there then Valve is as good as dead and buried, if it does deliver, and I believe it will, then it will be an awesome adventure :beer:

I hope so, man. Though, they did screw up CS:CZ, TF2, HL2 release... And they had computers with outlook on a network with the source code and content of HL2? Some companies are one-trick ponies. Let's hope that Valve isn't one of em.

They are calling that CounterStrike: Source. But that is probably not the final Multiplayer component.

That video isn't that great but if the games is like the released alpha but with ALL of the bug fixes I think it could shape up to be an awsome game. I never really played the original HL so I wouldn't say I am just routing for it because of that... Once its finally released it will be pretty good or atleast it should be for how much time it has taken.

Oh, and commenting on the game, the main reason why I'm going to get it is because of the MOD support. Mainly CS. I hope it will be good enough for me to come back after 3 years.
