HALF-LIFE 2 VS DOOM 3 :POLL:

Just a quick poll. Based on what you know so far, which one? I know the answer is probably both for most of you, but i'm just curious as to which game is more popular.

I think no one doubts that the Doom3 engine will be superior technologically and with more efficiency. But playability and mods wins it, and HL2 will have Natural Selection.

HL2 will be the better of the two. Doom never really was that great of a game, at least for me.

Half Life 2 no doubt. Doom 3 looks to have pretty graphics, but that's it. Half Life 2 promises superb multiplayer and a good single player game in addition to good graphics. Of course, what I'm really waiting for is Deus Ex 2. Not as good looking as either of those two, but it will be the best game ever if it is even slightly better than the original, which is far less than is claimed.

(1) I'm f*&king sick and tired of Carmack's obsession with dark grey/mud brown/black/orange colors. Get a box of crayons you freak!
(2) The whole "Soldier stranded on a deserted planet with a million aliens trying to kill you as you mindlessly blow them away" is getting pretty old

I think Doom 3 will have marginally better graphics, but HL2 will have better gameplay.

I vote HL2.

single player mission was awesome on the first one.

multiplayer...hell..I still play it. So its awesome.

Mods. DoD & CS I still play daily.
