Half-Life Beaten in 45 minutes.

watch some guy beat half-life in 45 minutes. it's on file planet but i thought i'd post it in case anyone was interested.

This guy is insane.

This guy used some neat tricks to get through it so quick, you could call it cheating but I think he is just useing some bugs in the game to get round some areas. Also he uses limpet mine on the walls to climb over them, a real neat trick.

I wonder if he video edited segments together.

I think the SMB3 one wound up to be like that (paste scenes together during level loading).


EDIT: Finished it... my god that was nuts. With some of those bugs and how fast he was moving I couldn't even keep track of the guy. The Gauss gun jumps... whoa.

But you know he did edit out a few boring slow parts (like an elevator ride) and some loading, he must've been able to attempt areas multiple times. Still great though.

The bug you are referring to is called skywalking.

I'm getting a slow 540k for me. I can get up to 700k from MS/apple's website tops.

But what codec is this video encoded in?? I am using winXP for the first time and I hate WMP 8 more than anything (cept WMP 9 ) but either way I'm not able to view the video, just the sound. The attempted codec download fails, and I thought it was divx but I just installed that and no go still.

DivX.. not sure why you'd be having problems playing it if you've installed the codec.

Try using VLC get it at VideoLAN.org. Has worked for most files I've needed to play

guy is a bad ass. you can tell some parts where edited together, but he just did it so you wouldn't have to watch useless parts and load screens
