Many hate Lionheart, and apparently midway in the game it turns into an unfinished grind that's terrible that I didn't play, but for $2.99 I enjoyed the first part of the game.

On the whole list, MDK, MDK 2, Messiah and Fallout are worth looking at... The rest is garbage.

Fallout Tactics is the only game still worth $3 today IMO. I'd pay even more for it, if I didn't have it already.

Loved descent. That game was beast on direct modem play. Battle chess was pretty awesome. There's a new version coming out though. I remember there being a star wars version of the game too? Earthworm Jim was a really fun game on the SNES.'

Man, was there ever a PC version of Rock n Roll Racing? That game was seriously fun.

one of the best space sims ever made, with one of the most vibrant modding communities, is not worth $2.99? Hell, i'd pay $50 for freespace 2 today

the freespace source code project improves on the graphics of freespace 2, they also converted freespace 1 using the freespace 2 engine

When I looked at the list I said "wow, didn't know interplay had a hand in so many good games". Besides your list, I have to second the already mentioned games: Descent series, Descent Freespace series, Giants: Citizen Kabuto.

The Freespace Installer is presently hooking me up with all the notable mods and tweaks but thanks for the advice none the less.

I broke out my old stick but quickly came to remember why I had retired it to a dusty bin. I am remedying that now and I think my solution would make an excellent addition to the thread:

I'll report back with my personal experience but a friend has nothing but good things to say about it. He has an x52 pro and compared it quite favorably to that system.

Obviously a $34 solution is not the equal of a $150 one but I tried his Thrustmaster and it gave a solid performance. If the one I ordered does as well I'll be delighted.

Expect an update Thursday.

not sure about castles 1/2 but i've bought about 10 games from gog that have all worked fine on win7. each game has a forum you could check for more info perhaps.
