Does this come with HL1. And if not, why do they not call this the Bronze version?

What does this mean? "This is the full english import edition of Half-Life 2." Is this international version?

I have a GEforce Ti200 with 128mb ram. Will that be good enough for this game?
Thanks.

Bronze and gold is nomenclature for the Steam versions not retail. This would be the bronze if you bought it off Steam. It's 5 CD's with HL2, CS: Source and a quick reference card.

Ok here's the skinny regarding graphics cards. I've tried running HL2 with a Ge4 MX440 and Ge2 Ti200 and it runs over 100+ rates flawlessly except during firefights it dips; no skippage though. I run on an XP 2000+. The reason behind this is that these older gen cards use DirectX 7 protocols which as opposed the current gen Ge6's which use DirectX 9 which benefits from enhanced water effects and the like. I know this since if you run the Video Stress Test under CS-Source and are using 7, all the models end up being black whereas 9 users actually see the quant visual effects. Also from what I hear, outside effects tax your GPU and inside effects tax the CPU. Teh verdict is that if you can deal with it the less visual effects (I know I can) then upgrading your card just for HL2 is pointless.

Yes it will work. If didn't they wouldn't be selling it because it would be worthless.Originally posted by: spwango
Arg--I don't worry about the contents of the CD, but with steam, I don't know if I have a ton of confidence that this version is going to work...
