Eh ... yes you could.

It just wouldnt' be broadcast for everyone to see. You could easily setup a game and invite all of your friends to join in whenever you wanted.

The thing about having a list of servers is that typically those are dedicated servers (on PC games that is) and there aren't any dedicated Xbox360 servers.

But from what I've heard, they will have a public list of games that people are currently hosting that you can just jump in and out of.

But how is this aproblem since you were complaining about playing with your friends?

Also training == non ranked public games, only it was random what type of games you would get.

Ah oikay hah I misunderstood it

But yah in H3 supposedly there will just be a list of current public matches, and you can create those as well.

I too wish you could have done that in Halo 2 because towards the later times of playing that game, I would just go in team training and I would end up quitting out until I hit a level or gametype I liked.

One of my top reasons for hating halo 2...

I like halo 1 but hated halo 2.
I"m hoping that Halo 3 will be good. Hopefully the beta coming up will give me a good idea of whether or not I should buy it

I see a huge spike in sales with the PS3 eating dust with all these big games releasing this year and next.

I believe it's possible. I don't know how many people I played with in crackdown that bought it just for the halo 3 BETA.
The beta will be huge and when halo 3 is released 360 sales will dramatically increase.

seriously, speed = quake, UT. halo is NOT fast. whenever i need to retreat (yes i play with friends on occasion), it takes 10 minutes and i die because i can't run fast enough :|

By speed, I don't mean how fast you can move. I never said the word fast. I probably should've used the word "pace" instead, but either way, you misunderstood and got a good laugh out of your own stupidity.

Eh, personally, I think of Halo as a kind of slow game as well. Q3DM17 ftw. That map can be quite fast if you're using the launch pads constantly. Unreal's DM-Antalus is one of my favorites and is a relatively small map that can be quite crazy using the enhanced adrenaline speed.

EDIT: I just realized, I own 17 games not 16. I forgot Viva Piñata.

It's not just run speed, ever notice that the physics for Halo are off. You fall in slow motion. It's like playing in constant low grav on UT, but not as fun. Also I always thought it was incredibly stupid that I could unload a clip at someone and not kill them, or I could gun butt them ONCE and kill them.

Also the game had the world's laziest modelers. There was ONE multiplayer model in Halo and TWO in Halo 2.

I agree that run speed has everything to do with the pacing of the game. But I'm commenting on just the overall pace of the game, I'm not trying to say it's too fast or too slow. I just think that the pacing of the game is good for what it is. It works with the levels and weapons.

And I apologize if I'm coming off as rude. I'm just angry today .

Don't forget to add 'or are PC FPS purists'. I find no fault in that even if I disagree with them bashing a game even if they have never played.

Hah yah. If someone wants to say that controlling fps games with a controller is so much more difficult than a keyboard/mouse then wouldn't that mean that those who kick your ass with a controller would be doubly efficient at ass kicking with a mouse/keyboard?

That doesn't make any sense, usually people who are used to PC FPS get killed on console games because they're simply not used to a controller. I know when I first got GoW I sucked pretty bad, but eventually got much better, and then quit and went back to playing my computer. But yeah you guys don't realize you're just as bad as everyone who hates the game, I've played many hours of halo 1, and plenty of halo 2(though not so much cause i hated 1), and I still did not like them. It's annoying as hell because people think there's something wrong with you if you don't like Halo, like its the absolute perfect game that everyone must like.
