Halo 3, ODST, Reach... they should have made Halo 4 a 720 launch game. Franchise fatigue, too much of the same thing over and over. They do the same thing with Forza and Fable too.

There's only been three Fable games, and there are plenty of Halo fans still wanting to play Halo.

I preorder mine early april/may when they had the 25 gc from the microsoft store.

On top of that, my daughter will be due between nov 1 - 10. If she pops out during the release, her middle name will be Halo

I've always enjoyed the Halo games. Are they overrated? Sure, but that's just gaming these days.

Yes, they've gotten a bit stale, and it's pretty clear the last two were blatant cash grabs, and the series is in serious danger of overextending itself.

But, the core game's gameplay is always solid, the storytelling is engaging, and I always get a kick out of co-op. Good, old-fashioned split screen co-op.

somebody with a well thought out view.. far to many gamers never played FPS before it and felt its the Holy grail.. and for consoles it was.. in the respect it was simply the best playing FPS on a console. but as far as FPS go.. it was pretty dull to anybody who had played them on PC (face it, at the time FPS didnt work on consoles so there where almost none to compare it to, pretty easy to win a contest when your the only entry).. 2 weapons? while the "carry and arsenal" on your back was 100% unrealistic it made for far more varied gameplay (fun) and way less "busy time" making sure weapons had ammo and such. The regenerating shield.. I was very much in the HATE area on this orginally.. but Now i think Halo got it right and everybody who copied it got it wrong. Health dont heal, shields do .. nowdays even health heals overtime,in seconds.. very poor game mechanic.. Health packs sitting all over was silly (no argument on that) but haveing unlimted health if i sit and hide is very .. sad.... hence HALO regenrating shield and non regenrating health (without health packs) might be the best system so far...

halos same 4 inside block sets isand the cartoon like little guys..game has death and temates dying around you, an evil race bent on killing you and we have the 3 stooges shooting at us and gigling away? sorry, poor game design.

halo inovated the health shield system and made FPS Work (great) on consoles.. but otherwise.. its pretty average shooter. ANd for those who love it.. who cares what I think.. keep on enjoying it. thats what games are for. Im just experessing an opinion, not facts..

I never get tired of halo. I like the scifi aspect, the weapons, the creatures, the new things they bring with each release. I love playing single player through the areas, not so much multiplayer.

I can't stand COD or any of that "real life" warfare type games. Too busy, too ridiculous, just too over the top to where they just aren't fun.

i agree with this, i basically don't play any halo MP, not because i don't like it, i simply don't care. i have ever halo game and will most likely get any that get released for the single player game only.

Yeah, in fact most reviewers are really loving the campaign. Other than ODST, I haven't been let down by a Halo campaign yet, and this one looks pretty epic from the things I have seen so far.

i haven't seen anything about halo 4 other than the e3 video and the commercial. oh i also saw some pics of the mechs that are in multiplayer.

other than that, nothing. i kind of like that too so that everything will be new to me as i play through it the first time.

I have a feeling that if Sony had a shooter worth a shit you would be all over that game, but since this is an Xbox game it just has to suck.

I was originally going to wait on this to come down in price (like I do with almost all games), but the Amex + Microsoft deal coupled with the great reviews made it so compelling that I went ahead and ordered!

I wasn't going to buy this game but after reading Polygon's review and the fact I had $20 off at eBay, I figured I couldn't go wrong for $40. This will be the first game I've turned my 360 on for at least a year.
