Halo(I think hardware problem)

Whenever i play halo(PC) almost 75% of the time, it will crash within 1 minute of opening it, it will crash saying Exception! in a window which says Exception on the top bar. Does anyone know what i can do to stop this/fix it, it's rather hard to play a clan battle if i crash every time i try to join the server.

Would me having a not so legal copy of XP be causing it, and i can't download the Updates it fix it if that is the problem

Also, any way it would be my hardwar doing it, my specs are in the sig

First get a legitimate copy of XP
Second Halo is a demanding game and dosen't fair well to ocing or AA enabled on video card.

Hardware my ass. How about you not run a warezed game on an unpatched warezed OS?

I have no overclocking done to GPU, only to my processor, and its not that much. I'll try to get a licienced copy of windows i guess, dont have 300 dollars at the moment tho

Blackroot, the illegal copy of XP notwithstanding, the exception fault could be caused by the o/c. From what I've heard Halo is notoroious for doing this. Trying reducing your o/c (FSB in particular) and see if that helps.

Why don't you get the OEM copy of XP Pro for $139.00 from Newegg...

I dont have that to spare either, i'll see if i can get from someone in college for that 5 dollar deal, i dont have FSB overclocked at all on my computer, and all i did was increase multiplier from 11X to 13X
