Gordon's been a complete fuckup all season.

Makes me wonder if they're prepping him to be written out of the show.

Had that thought too...or they are drawing to an end to the series if it isn't renewed and kinda pointing him into that. I wouldn't think they'd write him out (and he wouldn't want out) but you never know.

I've barely been paying attention to the show. I watch it in the background because it's almost irrelevant how the characters act. Everyone is so predictable you barely even need to listen to the dialog.

The only one who's surprised me this season is Joe. He seems to be genuinely interested in Mutiny's success. He seems to think that it could be something really revolutionary. His motivation seems consistent with the previous season so I give the writer's credit for that much.

But otherwise, the show seems to be floundering. It's certainly not up to AMC's normal standards.

Dammit, Joe gets a conscious again. I hate it when that happens.

It's also amusing how Gordon is basically trying to create Dell's custom PC business model from his garage while simultaneously losing his marbles. Should make for a fun way to lose his Cardiff money quickly.

I think it's been a very good season so far, above my expectations at least. Yeah maybe the character's decisions are easy to predict but how is that a bad thing? They're staying true to who they were written to be, except for Joe who has always been the wildcard.

The scene where the kids are playing mario, all I can think is dammit gordon go in there and watch it so you can go home and tell them to get out cause mutiny is going down.

Anyone else think the mother in law could have at least given him a reach around while getting that check from him.

Still waiting for them to decide on what the main plot will solidify as for the season.

NES didn't really kill online gaming, though.

main plot seems to be the internet.

Nah, this stuff still all predates the Internet by half a decade. Mutiny seems more like the pre-internet online services like Compuserve, Genie, Prodigy, and AOL (probably this one, since AOL started out as a gaming service for the Commodore 64).

Does anyone really think Joe will go to Cali? It would make sense if he ends up in Silicon Valley but I don't see Mutiny moving. So are we going to have a bifurcated story line. Hmmm. Don't know if they could pull that off.

The whole season has been like that, though, since Mutiny and Joe/Westgroup are in different sections of Texas.

I'm curious what 1980's Silly Valley company Joe will "invent" this time... maybe Oracle or a video card manufacturer or something

I guess that I should have seen that hostile takeover of Mutiny coming, but I didn't expect it to be quite that evil.

Can someone explain why Joe always gets pointed out as the big bad evil man. I get he manipulates people into his plans at times, but they always seemed interested in the plans he has but are afraid of trying, and thus he persuades them. He just seems like the business guy that everyone wants to hate because he culls big dreams into realizable chunks to keep the business going.

He did some pretty shitty stuff in season 1. Destroying all of Cameron's work comes to mind immediately. Burning the truckload of computers at the end of season 1 comes to mind as well.

He set a truck full of Giants on fire. I agree that in this season he deserves a little more credit but his past history with the group doesn't just get erased in their minds.

I loved the ending. Cameron gets poetic justice on Westgroup, and screws over Joe in the process!
