man, I'm feeling saturated to capacity by Star Wars and Marvel
no mas, no mas!
Looks like it will be awhile before there is a 12 month + margin between star wars releases, which will be rather odd given previous gaps.
http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?p=38159493#post38159493Last night, at the Capitan America - Civil War movie, they ran a preview for some Star Wars movie coming out in December. I forget the name. I don't really care to look it up either.
who?
*googles*
uh... who?
I guess it works for Call of Duty and Madden in the video gaming world... of course, I don't play either of those (and haven't seen the new Star Wars either)
Disney paid a lot of money for the license, I can't really blame them for the subsequent milking-the-hell-out-of-it. It's kind of their thing.
Apparently it was "only" a shade over 2 billion worldwide. I don't know how they'll make do.And they've already profited from that purchase with the take home from a single release...even prior to DVD sales, right? ...or am I over-remembering that box office to the tune of + $4.4 billion?

Of course that doesn't include merchandising...

Disney buying the franchise (AND all the other IP with it) was a no-brainer. I wish I had $4,000,000,001 when the deal was made. Best investment anyone could have made. Disney will be printing money off Star Wars, Indiana Jones etc for decades to come.
Or you could have spent 2 billion more and owned Candy Crush...

Can't believe Star Wars sold for only 4 billion...
Yeap. Deal of the century for Disney. And it wasn't just Star Wars in the bundle! It was ALL the Lucas junk -- including the entire Indy franchise too!
LOL candy Crush for $5.9 Billion what a freaking joke comparatively.
