I don't know. Maybe I'm looking at the jury pool?

I am so confused. Your posts are horribly written but that is another issue.

So let me get this straight. You have taken care of an outside cat for the last 8 years. Did you register this animal in your name? Is it chipped? You can't just claim ownership of a wild cat no matter how much money you have spent on vet bills or how many times it has sat on your wife's lap.

Having a squished/stolen/poisoned cat is the risk you run letting your cat roam around free.

The cat has lived mostly indoors. He went out to do his business or lay in the cat nip patch. He might lay about but never going far that I would have to worry. He seldom left the property. We have a cat door.

But you've said you've been taking care of it for the past 8? Is the cat chipped with their ownership? If not, and you have the vet bills, you can easily make the claim it's yours. No need to trespass onto their property, just file a theft with the police.

Again, the police will not get involved with cat ownership. They said legally there is no way for us to get him back.

If the police said legally there was nothing you can do to get your cat back, they are wrong. If the police said there was nothing they could do, then maybe so.

Most states consider pets to be "property".

Why is it that whenever something vaguely interesting happens to an ATOTer, we get spidered, goosed, etc? (What is it now... gooed?)

You probably don't have any pets. Cats or any other pets are not just "things" you can replace. It's like saying "oh the baby died? just get pregnant again!" It's not that easy.

At least you didn't burn down your neighbor's house like those animal protection terrorists around here.

i have many pets.

1. i don't let them outside. thats just stupid. especially where i live. cougars like dogs and cats.
2. it's just an animal. get over it. comparing a pet to a baby is retarded. especially the way you compared it.
3. did i mention, their just animals. there are plenty of kittens and puppies waiting in the wings that need a home.
4. pets are things you can replace. goldfish, hamsters, gerbils, cats, dogs... all easy to replace. if you're stupid and buy a pure breed, it's a little more expensive to replace, but still easy to replace.

Yeah, why not fill in the blanks instead of making us make up stories about how you came over to their house in middle of the night and teabagged their youngest daughter, then anally raped their son while the cat licked your nuts.

Tell us more.

You seem to have zero value for life.

And yes leaving them outside is stupid, but I'm sure that's a mistake the OP will prevent in the future.

Animals have lives just like we do, and have emotions, etc just like we do. Right now that cat is being held hostage, probably in bad conditions, and no access to it's medications.

are you kidding? the cat has no access to it's meds... oh no!

i have value for life, i'm just realistic. you know, when the virus comes from space and kills the cats and dogs, you're gonna be one of those jerks that has a monkey for a pet, aren't you... you'll think it's cool and you won't realize that it will be all your fault that our future will be fucked up. thanks for ruining our future.
