You probably don't have any pets. Cats or any other pets are not just "things" you can replace. It's like saying "oh the baby died? just get pregnant again!" It's not that easy.

i have many pets.

1. i don't let them outside. thats just stupid. especially where i live. cougars like dogs and cats.
2. it's just an animal. get over it. comparing a pet to a baby is retarded. especially the way you compared it.
3. did i mention, their just animals. there are plenty of kittens and puppies waiting in the wings that need a home.
4. pets are things you can replace. goldfish, hamsters, gerbils, cats, dogs... all easy to replace. if you're stupid and buy a pure breed, it's a little more expensive to replace, but still easy to replace.

Why do you have pets? Sounds like you're a horrible pet owner and I feel sorry for your pets. If any of them need surgery/medication, do you just kill them and not take responsibility for their well being?

nope. your wrong. if they need surgery, we do it ourselves, medication, we get what we need. the last animal we had die we tried to keep alive as long as his life was quality. he had renal failure(severe). in the end, we had to euthanize him. we also had to euthanize our rescue pit bull that developed cancer in the opening of his bladder. but losing an animal is not like losing a child.
i'm just realistic. there are too many animals in shelters that don't have homes that need them, not every shelter is a no kill shelter.

i also have no sympathy for people that let their cats outside, as it seems they don't value the animal, so they should have no problem letting go and getting a new one.

my pets are well taken care of, thanks.

Once again...I think everyone should go to jail at least once. Its not a bad place to visit.

i hate county jail. i had decent food in there at least, but no tobacco, and 24 hour lockdown blows.

OP, I have some spare cats, you can have your choice. Too bad you live on the other side of the country. None of them need medicine (as far as I know), so they should be cheaper to care for. I'll even give you two of them. And, the bleeding hearts who don't want the little kitties living outside, feel free to stop by and give my outdoor cats a "good home." I've run out of chipmunks, moles, mice, and other assorted critters near the house & barn. Now, the cats appear to be bored most of the time.

your cats are fucking up the local ecosystem. You really shouldn't have so many of them.

cougars work the best handling outside pets. they don't owl, you rarely see them, and they are 100% effective of taking anything left out overnight.
plus, they keep crime low in the neighborhood.

there u go.

wow just wow.

seriously are you trying to defend something or just trying too hard to be a devil's advocate?

I thought I was following your logic, but this last statement has me fleeing on the logic level.

you are the one equating eating a cat with eating children, not i.
i only brought it up to ridicule, you brought it up as equivalence.

This the shits when you try and do the right thing and get caught up in the gray areas of the law. Offenses against people count; hypothetical crimes against a cat who needs medicine do not

Depending on the way the law is written and how the local courts interpret the law, it may constitute animal abuse..

This thread seems to be moving from one end of the spectrum all the way to the other. We started with cat thievery and ended up eating children somehow? I hope you get reunited with your cat OP and that your neighbors get their own. Preferably without a large legal bill to boot.

Thanks, for the support.

It's sad that people can't understand why I'm not putting details in the posts.

When the charges are dropped, I will tell all.
