Hey all, I've got a question and didn't know what category to put it in so I'll start here. Has anyone received anything like this or done anything similar. I got this packet in the mail from the Handyman Club of America. It's based near me in MN and they say they have 900k+ members but...is this a case of "it sounds too good to be true so..." Of course, there's the gimmick line "you were nominated by a friend or family member..."
Here's the details:
- $1/mo membership dues
- A membership magazine
- Access to members only website
- They send you tools to test and you get to keep them if you fill out some paperwork
- Prizes and giveaways
- $200 if your tip gets published in their magazine
If it's legit, it'd be nice to get some free tools for around the house. Like they say you can get anything like paints, adhesives, circular saws, cordless drills, weedcutters, etc.
Well, I hope maybe some of you know about stuff like this or have participated in it or a similar deal.
