Who cares what the DP is? Show me a better LCD w/DVI for $110. This one is a terrific buy for the price - no one has come close so far on 19" LCDs (for a regular price deal, not clearance).

I would be more concerned with the reviews that LCD is getting on Newegg...

Just about everything I've read about this Hanns-G LCD is positive.
I still don't know why I haven't ordered one yet

Yes, even for a low end LCD this is a hot price. Even better that this is a nice panel. I own the 196D and have been very happy with it so far. For ~$110 you can't beat it.

Both of my rebates have been accepted, so now I just have to wait a bit to get them. Not a prob for a nice deal on a nice LCD with very good picture quality.

Then you aren't comparing the same dot pitch measurement. Two 19" non-widescreen LCD screens are going to have the same total surface area. And as both are 1280*1024 they both have the same number of pixels. How could there be a difference in dot pitch?

Ordered mine a few days ago. Just got it today. Seems pretty nice. Didnt notice any dead pixels. I got it for my dads new pc so for 110 its great. Kinda annoying to plug stuff in kinda have to bend stuff into it but oh well.

Ooh. This is so very tempting. But dagnabbit, I'm not a fan of rebates, especially $120 worth of rebates. For me the shipping is $15, so I figure I'd add a 512 MB USB Flash Drive for $20 (aka for $5). I'm going to have to think about it. I'd place a value of $10 on the flash drive, so it would really be $120 for me, which would be a great deal for a good 19" LCD. But man...I hate rebates...especially rebates that aren't Staples Easy Rebates.

maybe one has a grill so the pixels are smaller and you get a windowscreen effect. SWEET!!! :roll:

Thats my biggest gripe with this monitor. I've found some stands on ebay that use the VESA mounts on the back. This would be ideal, giving better adjustment and frees up your cables.

Check around. There is a free shipping code out there. Ordered mine Tuesday at 5:30PM EDT and it showed up on Wednesday. Not too shabby. Now if only the rebates come as fast.

Oh and I tried it out last night. Nice and bright no dead pixels and plenty sharp for a general use monitor.

Way excellent deal. If you are even considering it snap it up. I read somewhere that due to the world cup games LCD manufacturers went into overdrive and now have a surplus so the pricing won't stay at this level. Might have been BS but still, it's only $110 shipped!!!
