I think the black cat wants to steal your soul.
That simply kill...

But yeah cats can be smart when they want to.
The one here has been taught to leave the basement when told to.
It was also taught to beg in a certian way to show interest in getting food from the table.

cats suck, they just eat your food and do nothing but "look cute" that shit sucks. dogs can be taught to get you a beer hence dogs > cats.

I used to have this one mouse in my kitchen that I could not get rid of. I kept the place clean, made sure there were no food sources the mouse could get to and left out traps to try to catch the little bastard. No luck. Apparently I'd killed off all the stupid mice, but this guy was smart enough not to get trapped. Ever since I adopted my cat Mr. Mouse has gone MIA.

Those guys love their sun, that's for sure! They can't sleep too long though, or their sun disappears.

Cats are awesome. While we're at it, here's mine:

Haha, middle of the summer probably and they STILL want to lay right next to something warm/hot. Our current one lays right on my laptop exhaust fan, doesn't even appreciate the a/c.

My brother visited a bit with his kid and they got one of those bouncy seats that gets hooked on a doorway and decided to see what the cat thought of it and she proceeded to stay in it for a good half hour even if you spun her a bit or pushed the buttons to make noise:

hello fellow sink cat

Wow, and he even looks almost exactly what my cat looks like now (7 years old now). My cat even has the black spots on his nose now too.

Nothing beats an orange cat.
I've always had orange cats, we have 2 right now, friends and family can't even tell them apart they are so similar in size and color. Huge cats too, 18 and 19 lbs.

I thought it was a fact that cats don't learn / respond to their names, they only respond to the tone of voice you use when calling them.

All my cats know their names and respond to them. Tone doesn't seem to matter. They are smarter than we give them credit for. So smart they only listen to us when we are around and only if they know we are going to get up and come over there.

My old cat when she was alive knew when you were asking her if she wanted to go outside.

You could talk to her for a bit but the moment you asked if she wanted out she would look at you and meow and then proceed to walk to or look at a door.

to a cat you're a food source, nothing more. that dries up they move along, dogs don't. and like i said i can teach a dog to get me a beer from the fridge, you can't teach a cat to do shit.

I taught one of my cats to do back flips. Well more so, I encouraged the behavior until she does it on demand.
