Wrapping things for Christmas. Returning one item that would be a duplicate of something another family member got.

Chasing a supplier for replacement parts I need for a washing machine that broke down this week - they said they had in stock and would ship immediately, but did NOT have.

Appointment with a bank person to update type of account for a business no longer operating to reduce fees.

Helping to prepare the house for arrival of out-of-town family for the holiday.

Oddly for this region we have NO snow now, so no problem dealing with that. I DID the fall preventive maintenance on my snowblower a while ago so that's all ready.

Sunrise 8:17, sunset 5:04, So 8 hours 47 minutes here in Northern Michigan.
Abnormally warm here too. Supposed to be 52f on X-mas. Last year we had 12" of snow Christmas day. 40f today, what little snow we've had has melted.

Other than that I stopped at my dad’s to pick up the e-bike I got for my wife and changed my oil with fresh 10w-60. It was pretty syrupy at 35 degrees F.

Finished a nightshift and drove 340 miles to pick up my mum for Christmas then tomorrow 340 miles to get her back to my place! I need a beer!

I'm on night shift, so slept all day. Didn't see any light, as per usual in winter.

On non work days I try to get up early so I can at least get some light.

IME December is low on the "winter-storm resulting in big snow" likelihood index around here anyway. (New Haven)

It's occasionally late January, February and early March you need to look out for big dumps in New England. (at least it used to be before we really trashed the climate!)
