Harassing Phone Calls...

My girlfriend is getting harassing phone calls from someone on her cell phone. Is there anyway of getting the number blocked on the dell phone without changing her number.

The story is the guy literally will not stop calling until she picks up. Sends her text msgs. all the time. It is annoyed both of us for about 3 months now... Now we are both furious and need to do something about this. Any suggestions?

You answer the phone and say that you will make him think twice if he does it again?

Actually according to Verizon Wireless you cannot block in incoming cell phone call. There is no way to determine who the call is from before it actually hits the phone.

If you want to stop the calls from ringing, you could add the jerkoff to your phone book and change the ringer to silent. It wouldn't stop text msgs, but it'd prevent ringing.

Call the cellphone company and ask them how to proceed in this situation. Most of the time, they'll go thru your call logs and if they feel your request is valid, they can block off a number. They can set it up so that when he calls, he'll hear a message saying the line has been disconnected.

But that is only a temporary fix, because the perp may not give up so easily and may try calling from another number. If this has been going on for three months, I suggest calling the police.

If you know the cell phone provider of the other person you could send a letter to their harassment department.

sounds like this guy has the hots for your girl. does she know him?

You can call your provider and ask them, I think T-Mobile blocks them (what I have), I don't see why a provider couldn't though. But anyway, maybe you could try making your voice mail the "This number is no longer in service" thing. After a few tries maybe they'd give up? Seeing as soon as you press Ignore/Reject it usually sends it straight to your voice mail.
