Hard Drive Copy

I currently have on my primary ide channel a 60gb(master- crive) and 80gb(slave- multimedia). I'm upgrading my system with another 120gb hard drive. I want to have my 80 gig as Master C: and my 120gb now as my slave, and doing away with my 60gb. How can I copy everything on my 80gb to the 120? I'm guessing I will have to do this w/o an OS and in DOS because of the 2 drive limit, I wouldn't be able to use my 60 gig Crive. Are there any programs that could do this....being in DOS and all? Or can I replace one of my cd drives with my 120 temorarily until I make the copy?

MaxBlast should do the trick. Drive Copy is one of it's options and it runs from DOS so no problems there.

Is there a manual for maxblast, because I tried it.....got lost.

I assume that the 2 drive limit is that all of the mobo's IDE channels are full?

Try Maxtor's web site. It should have a PDF file that you can read and/or print out.:music:

If it's not a Maxtor or you don't have a Maxtor installed go to the HD manufacturer's site of the disk that you do have. They will have something similar, with instructions.
