I've worked with two Bigfoots. A 2 GB which died a year after I got it in a pre-assembled system and an 8 GB which is still humming right along. The main problem I have with the Bigfoots is their VERY sluggish performance. When they were first released, their big selling point was large capacity (at the time) for a good price. Performance-wise, they basically suck. I moved the 8 GB to a file server which is used mainly for off-line storage so the poor performance isn't really a factor. It's still running fine three years later.
