You know, you guys whining and complaining about the ATi thing, saying how it's unjust and such, were the same guys flaming NVIDIA for the PVP in the AGP 6800's. WTF? :disgust: You were also the same ones I saw (before I registered, mind you ) flaming NVIDIA about the NV3x. All of it is just. All ATi flaming about CrossFire and R520, all NVIDIA flaming about the 6800's PVP, "shimmering", and NV3x. OK. Let's move on now.
Stop bashing people for bashing ATi for their proverbial F*CK UP. THEY SKREWED UP GUYS. There's NO getting around it. NVIDIA screws up, ATi screws up, its just the thing. I get tired of coming in here, seeing the same damn people flaming the likes of Rollo for posting a bit of news. I got flamed by Rollo once (when I first registered, it was a misunderstanding), and you know what? He's not that bad of a guy. Sure he's partial to NVIDIA. I am too. I have reasons:
1.) Had a Radeon 7500. Sucked ass. Replaced it with a GeForce2, and I was happy for nearly 3 years.
2.) Until quite recently, NVIDIA's drivers frickin' OWNED ATi's. I mod ForceWare drivers to support laptop GPU's, and I do it, because I can.
I have also not heard ONE bit about the "shimmering" over at TweaksRUs forums. Why? Because IMO, its all of the ATi Facists claiming this BS. The two "founders" of TRU, both have 7800's (one 7800GTX, one 7800GT), and none of them have complained. Hmmm... Sounds a bit fishy to me. Probably because all ATi fanboi's like to blow it all out of proportion. BS.
I like NVIDIA, and I'm called "GeForceTony" because I have not had much of a complaint as far as they go. I have owned MANY cards from MANY companies, including (in chronological order):
-NVIDIA GeForce 6800GT (current)
-NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700Ultra
-NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200
-NVIDIA GeForce2 MX400
-ATi Radeon 7500
-3DFX Voodoo3 3500
-S3 Savage4 Pro
-Rendition Verite V2100
-Rendition Verite V1000
Many companies, as you can see. Guess what? Out of them ALL, NVIDIA has been the best. Why do you think my last few cards have been NVIDIA? I like them.
I would buy an ATi card IF they could best NVIDIA on speed, stability, compatibility, features, etc. But, since the days of the R3x0, and the NV3x, ATi has been in the catch-up for the most part (specifically, features). But, until that day comes, I'll stick to NVIDIA .
