Its his site. He has a great reputation anyway, and people will continue to visit OCP.

The reason Kyle said that is because Canadians tend to ally themselves (fervently) with their companys.
You typically wont find many canadians supporting Nvidia.. but you'll find plenty of Americans supporting ATI. As a general rule.
Take a look sometime at who posts the hardline pro-ATI stuff, even in ATI's worst days.. see where they live. Its almost interesting.

Besides that, what are the canadians going to do to Kyle? Nuthin. At all. Just whine.. and hopefully just go away and leave him alone.



It's funny how you claim that Canadian's have some sort of warped favouritism with ATI when you have an American flag as your forum pic.
I own an Nvidia 6800, because IMHO it's a better card.

This is the same type of bullsh!t behavior that I talked about hardocp having a couple years back. I thought Kyle grew up after that intel hyperthreading fiasco, but I guess not.

He has an arrogant attitude and thinks that his biased opinion matters more than an objective one. I can't believe he slightly insulted Anandtech; I have never seen any type of bias or an unnotated change in any of the reviews on this site, and the one article that was taken down eventually got an explanation from Anand himself. And he had good reason to take it down. Anandtech is professional, and with that might come a sligtht reputation for being 'PC' as Kyle said. But being arrogant is a lot worse than trying to be fair and objective. The two aren't even related!

Insulting isn't 'PC': but damn what a d!ck Kyle is.

So these cards/mobo's are supposed to be at newegg/etc later this week? If this is true, is a one week delay in reviews/cards shipping really a big deal? NV did a great job in having cards avail the day of the reviews with the GTX, but thats the first time its happened that I can remember. Hopefully its a new trend for good, but I wont be crying if we have to wait a week or two after reviews. Its not that big of a deal to me.

Thats true, to a point. They do not moderate them with the same level of consistancy across the board though. Sometimes a person will use name calling (or worse) over and over again, and only get this posts deleted. Then sometimes a person will do it once, and get banned. No warning, or anything. It is moderated more, but not at the same level all of the time. Which defeates the purpose to me.

Reever, you have good points, but morph needs to tone it down about 7 or 8 notches. If somebody is discussing something and presents something nice and logical, It's easy to carry on the conversation just by adding to it with more good info. When morph talks, people have to duck because of the flying razor's lined with bias. Im tired of him. you should be as well by now.

This forum needs someone like me to balance out all the overwhelming pro-Nvidia hype. Too many people here with their lips surgically attached to Nvidia's backside.

I've never liked HardOCP and mainly because of Kyle. I have nothing against their reviews, but I have seen on a number of occasions Kyle posting small op ed pieces showcasing his political views on one topic or another. These have seemed to me to be mostly unprofessional right wing rants and have turned me off that site for good.

In defense of their technical prowess and the crowd in the OCP forums..
they are probably the best forum I've visited for actual technical assistance or help. Anytime I need some serious info on bios flashing ect I head that way.
OCP forums, and B3D are the two "hardcore" video forums IMO. OCP is a very nice blend of a good environment (like here) and hardcore gurus (B3D).
Theres a guy over at OCP, w1zzard I think.. very helpful individual, at least to me in the past.

AT has a lot of very talented hardware gurus, too. You really haven't been a member here long enough to know who to look to for assistance, but they're here.

When I was a regular member at OCP (4 years ago) it was mostly kids bragging about their rigs. And General Mayhem was pretty hot. FS/FT there was ok, but it went to the pits when the TrollHunters were given the boot.

I can't see how you lump OCP in with B3D, not at all.
