So far I've used Notepad for a short time, then Visual Cafe for a few years and then for the past 4 years JBuilder as my IDE of choice for Java. Now I'm starting to look for a new job and I see Eclipse is very popular so I want to get experience with it... but I'm having a hard time with it. Am I the only person who is having trouble with this thing? Things like the IDE seems to be caching old version of certain classes somewhere causing NoClass/MethodNotFound exceptions, hassles getting the integrated web server up and running, imported JAR files not actually being imported ... Are these popular issues or just little quirks that you learn to get around eventually?
It's just that I remember learning JBuilder was so intuitive and I picked it up quickly without any help and now I'm actually considering buying a book or something to help me figure out Eclipse
