Hardest Game of All Time

Pong kicked my balls. Ive never been the same man sence. Guys there do exist games that you dont win. You just get the higher score. You know?? Tetris comes to mind.

remember that game about on the Super NES with the cavemen in it and dinosaurs if I remember correctly, it had a very cartoony look to it. it was very hard to beat.

do any of you know what game I'm talking about?

Warmech. He was in the last hallway of the floating tower. On the way to Tiamat, fiend of Air.
You had to wander around a great deal to find him. Only a 1 in 100 chance of a random battle including him. And yes, he was tough. He uses nuke pretty much every round. You needed to have a balanced party capable of getting "Walls" up in time to save your fighters and hope they could beat him senseless in two or three rounds. If your party could defeat him, then the last fiend and final boss were wimps by comparison.


I just remembered the game that kicked my butt the hardest.
The original, DOS-based, CD-ROM game: Z.
It was really simple top-down Real-Time-Startegy. Made shortly after the success of Warcraft. You had to crontrol zones across the map to increase your factory production and churn out more robots and vehicles. That game increased in difficulty very fast. I could never get past the first planet.

Heh, 25 by the Ice Cave is (wayyy) overkill. Only need to be 17-19 Plus, it really wouldn't protect you much against the main dangers in the cave: COCKTRICEs, SORCERORs, MAGEs, FROST Ds(when treasure collecting) and the EYE.

WarMECH wasn't all that bad, honestly. By that point in the game, you'd ideally have someone over 400HP - thus, NUCLEAR (NUKE) would keep at least one guy alive. Hopefully, you can run. Combine that with the fact that it's hard to run into him without going up and down the bridge at least twice, you'll usually won't have to worry about him.

FF1 is hard. Even if you've played the game a thousand times before, RedGOYLEs will wipe out your party at least once during Gurgu, TRANCE will still drive you absolutely insane... etc. My point is, it's hard looking at the sequels of the series. All they've done is make it easier (and more time consuming, but that's beside the point)

Edit: WALL does not effect the power of NUCLEAR or NUKE. NUKE is a non-elemental spell and WALL does not reduce this damage. There is no way to lower the power of NUKE. You're better off casting FADE/NUKE/FAST.

Edit 2: NUKE/NUCLEAR deals between 100-400 points of non-elemental damage. Period.

I must have terrible luck because I remember the first time I played FF1 I ran into the Mech and it definitely wiped out my party.

I play Super Mario Bros. on the Mario AllStars game for the SNES (Basically all the super mario games on it). It has Mario 1, 2, 3, and the lost levels on the pack. When I thought I had beat Super Mario 1, I'm doing something else and the levels have a star by them. When does this game end? I'm curious because at this point anytime I touch my SNES the screen goes black and delets the save points on the cartridge.

i have to agree with Festers Quest and Bionic Commando...i still havent beat those two. i wonder if i could do it now.

FF1 wasnt that hard, just took a long time... man i wish i could play those games again...

Funny because I found Bionic Commando to be very easy. I guess that means I was a twitch player & you were more of an RPG gamer...lol...of course I was like 11 or 12 or so.

Ninja Gaiden was a bitch though. Wizards and Warriors was no joke either, got pretty far but never beat that one either.

Ha ha, i played that a couple years back and beat it in a day without ever dying or using a potion.

Im also the only person I know who's beaten TMNT 1 for the NES. BUt then again, I suck at most of todays games, I cant play an FPS worth crap without cheating.
