Hardest math class you've taken?

Respond either the hardest class or whatever you're taking now and where you are (HS/college/graduate) and grades. I'm 10th grade/Geometry now (average for my HS). I got an A+ on both semesters of last year's Algebra class and an A+ even on the final (after a minor 10 point curve).

I suck at math. So it was geometry. I took statistics in college, so i could avoid regular math classes.

I did well in algebra. poor in geometry. Never took trig or calculus.

Hardest class was Algebra 2 Honors in freshman year of high school.

Teacher was a bitch, and refused to teach, and most stuff wasn't in thr book.

I am in discrete math and altougth it isn't that hard, I have to try in it.

Other than that, calc 2 was pretty brutal only because i told myself that it was..

frankly, if you try and actually study, math is challenging and not really classifiable as "hard"

It's been a long time, but I'd say the calculus one where you do integrals and derivatives of infinite series.

Arithmetic. I couldn't work with numbers over 10 because I ran out of fingers.

My teachers told me it would get easier when I got older, but they lied because I still only have 10 fingers, and I tried my hardest to grow more.

I disagree. No matter how hard some people study and try, math just doesn't make "sense" to them (me).

I didnt do well in math in High School. In college I started over w/ Algebra, then Trig, then Calc I, II, and III, and finally Differential Equations. I learned that the hardest was actually Algebra. If you work hard at Algebra and nail everything, then everything else is relatively easy. Case in point, the easiest of those courses for me was Diffy Q.

I hated doing proofs. I think Diff Eq had to worst of them - or at least the other math / cs profs didn't emphasize them as much.

Without a doubt, Algebraic Geometry was the hardest for me. I just didn't completely understand it.....and I was not alone.

Calc 2 or Analysis

Cal3 was much easier then 2, i just never got series', in analysis we basically proved that calc worked, man did that ever suck

(OP: I know you said not to respond if you haven't completed all your math, but others disregarded it, so here goes)

10th grade, in precalculus/trigonometry. Calc BC next year.

Senior year I get to take some sort of math analysis course(s) from Fresno State (something like Math 77, I think).

AP Calc senior year of high school. Passed the exam, never had to take a math class in college. Of couse I took college algreba as an elective during my senior year
