I don't know who is getting the ECS and the PC133 but all I have to say is Ha Ha!
Oh and these excerpts from HardOCP and OCworkbench:
HardOCP
"Sometimes I really wonder why the old KT7A performs so well compared to other boards that are based on the same chipset. The time is just ripe and ABIT KR7A show it again. The performance of the KR7A is so impressive that I could not imagine not getting one to replace my working machine that is a Slot A Athlon. Personally, I feel that ABIT has put in lots of R&D hours to bring out a board that is a killer product. They have done it again. The only thing they never introduce are the overclocking stripes from TH7-II RAID and the reset/power buttons on TH7-II. These are good stuff that should be brought onto the KR7A for DIY users.
Features wise this board uses the latest Highpoint HPT372 chipset to support ATA-133 HD. Well, the VIA KT266A does not support ATA-133 natively. Seriously, the board lack one basic feature which some of you might like or might not like - a 6 channel audio sound.
Installation is very straightforward, we did not encounter any major hiccups so far. Stress testers like SuperPI went through loops, so is 3Dmark2001. Overclocking is something that works wonder on ABIT boards. We were able to overclock AthlonXP1500+ to 10x150 at default timings. It is a pity that my Athlon 1.33G is still in the service centre and I am unable to demonstrate how high the fsb can reach by reducing the multiplier. We attempted to unlock the multiplier on the AthlonXP but failed!"
OCWOrkbench:
The ABIT KR7A-RAID board is certainly one that you will see the recommend as it has turned in the highest overall scores we have ever seen on an AMD system as it was benchmarked.. Still that is not to say there are not worthy competitors out there. There is MSI, EPoX, Soyo, Shuttle, and ASUS; and all of them have boards that are all very strong. The competition in the market is certainly a boon for us guys buying the boards and I highly suggest you look at the features the board sports before relying on a brand name to be the decision maker for you.
