Maybe yes, maybe no. Explain why you think there is no BIOS on the cards. Im sure if before this was leaked if someone asked all the forum warriors here "How likely is it that AIBs dont have BIOSes for their cards?" everyone would say "No way."
Why would AMD send out cards to game devs that can't actually work? AMD had working samples for quite a while, it there are any cards at Computex or not can't be confirmed. Also, do you think that they are going to manage to actually change the cards settings just a few weeks before it's supposed to be in stores?

No one, literally no one, in this thread has said this. I've never said this despite everyone attempts to straw man me into having said this.
If you don't have final BIOS you cant say whats faster because the BIOS determines a good deal of the performance of the card, period. Clock speed, power limitations (TDP limits), fan speed. They might know what the TEST cards performance is, but if AMD has moved in response to 980 Ti (which is highly likely), then their information is outdated and inaccurate because AMD has not yet delivered the new BIOS. If its neck to neck, BIOS can be the tie breaker. Which might be what AMD is doing.

Nothing to do with the 980Ti. That card was released on Sunday, while a lot of people already were getting ready for Computex. The time frame is way too small for that.
If the Fury they had their hands on was 20% slower than the 980Ti, I am sure they are pretty confident saying it won't beat it. On the other hand, your example where they are close, the BIOS definitely could make or break it.
Regardless, a final BIOS will not give a HUGE performance jump. Forcing 80% fans and maxxing power-consumption to get 20% just isn't rational.

We are talking about a brick not a video card. And really the card cannot be "switched on" because with no BIOS the GPU will be doing exactly nothing.The cards also can't run in their current form, as no BIOS is present. It can therefore only be switched on, but no image will appear on a screen.
What makes you think they don't? Baseless rumors? I say they do have working BIOS and had so for months. You got any legitimate evidence to say otherwise, present it.
Update: Our sources close to AMD have reported that any reports of performance issues at this time are pointless. We have concrete confirmation that the GPU will launch at E3 so we have something to look forward to very soon and will get a chance to see its final performance as well.

BTW.. The 980Ti will kill Titan X, 980 and even the SLI of 970... They created something so good that will kill their own products...
If you take any information as true from the leak in the OP you have to take ALL of that leaks' information is true. Not just the information that confirms your beliefs.... (e.g. You cant cite the leak to say 980 Ti is faster but then ignore the part where AIBs dont have final clocks)
All I'm hearing is 1) you have no theory as to why there's no BIOS on the AIB cards since you keep dodging the question, or 2) you're saying you think ALL of the information in the leak is false. 2) could very well be true.
IMO this whole leak stinks. I don't think its legit. Too unusual.
