I do have a sligtly off topic question. I was thinking of getting the 880 as a present to someone. I searched froogle and found the same price as this dell deal from the same place I got my 670. But when you follow the link to their site it comes up @159. Does anyone know why there would be a descrepensy? I'll call them tomorrow but was curious if anyone had also noticed something similar?

I got this remote last time dell ran this deal and was impressed by how no matter what I threw at it, it had in its online database. I have a complicated A/V setup with a projector and auto lights and was able to set the remote up my self for the most part. However I was still having problems with timing being off and the remote not going to the right inputs that it was supposed to. To make a long story short their level 2 tech support was amazing, they really know what they are doing and were able to solve my problem. Granted I had to sit with them for a good I'd say 6 hours total on the phone between multiple phone calls just to get everything working exactly like I wanted it to. Don't hesitate to call tech support if the remote isn't working exactly like you want it to, they write the code and then upload it to your profile so you can download it to your remote.

This remote is badass and you CANNOT GO WRONG, especially at this price. Check all the other retailers and compare if you think it's too expensive. One button macros, just about every device is in the db, it's awesome.

I was almost regretting buying mine, but now that I'm getting it set up, it's pretty amazing. I wish the software wasn't so wizard driven, but I guess that's the price you pay for ease of use for the masses.

I just need to figure out how to set up activities that don't actually turn things on. I have an activity set up for "Watch Tivo" and if I'm using the QAM tuner in my TV to watch something in HD, using that activity turns my TV off.

It is under the settings for the activity. You can set the power on/off options for each device associated with the activity.

head to the activities tab, hit settings, change options.
Under turn off unused devices, click leave on.

Check this setting for all your activities.
