Sad to say, when I was younger, I slapped a young lady back after she slapped me in the face. I've learned not to hit woman, just wrestle with them! The rewards are so sweet afterwards! And even if they aren't just think of all the FF's you get while you're wrestling!

What gets me is when you say "Jane slapped Michael because she was mad at him." You get a certain image in your head. But if you were to say "Michael slapped Jane because he was mad at her." He is a abusive asshole.

I hear what you're saying. That's why I said sad to say though. I don't think under a majority of situations that a man should hit a woman though.

I have an interesting twist to your question. What if the woman is bigger than the man? Is it ok for the guy to defend himself?

Broke my sister's front tooth with a battery, also slugged her in the gut once.

Used to know some girl who thought it was totally OK to claw men's arms and faces and kick them in the nuts, even if you're jsut mucking around. Total psycho.

My sister slapped me when I was 14 or 15. I was really pissed at her and I was irate. She walloped me good, and I immediately got quiet and timid. I am a pretty big guy, but I was so shocked that she slapped me. I think that is probably the only time she has slapped a person, too. Haha... I got my butt served to me by my sister who is literally about 90 pounds less than me.

I would probably never, ever hit a girl though. There is just something inherently wrong with that. Maybe if my life or someones life depended on it, but otherwise, NO.

only once that I can recall... I called her a (word for a female dog). I meant it in a funny way, but she didn't take it as such. haha.

I didn't hit her back, but I did hold her hands/arms down till she calmed down.

I have been hit and slapped by my ex bf, and although I never hit him back, I would always drop him to the ground, or hold him against a wall just to prove to him that if I wanted to I could do some serious damage.

Meh, I wouldn't hit a guy either unless the situation really did call for it. But call me old fashioned if you will, but I like chivalry and being the gentleman.

Women and men are different and should be treated differently. Differently but still respectfully. Equal status, equal inherent rights, but women and men are just think and treat each other differently.

But you are probably joking anyways. Sarcasm meter busted.

Yeah you're absolutetly right and I agree. Being chivalrous these days is quite rare and is certainly appreciated by women.

I've been sucker punched by my ex wife. A defense mechanism kicked in and I no longer saw her as "female". I stood there and laughed at her and she took another swing. I had no where to go (to walk away) so I "beat her to the punch" so to speak. It's not something I'm proud of, nor will I ever be, but it is something I felt entirely justified in.

In fact a judge later dismissed her BS story and ruled it "Mutual combat" between us, even though she attacked me first. But she lied about it to everyone, saying I came after her. That I chased her down and hit her. she stuck to that story so much for so long it started to make me wonder if I was crazy in remembering things the way I did. I mean we'd both been drinking that night, but I wasn't "drunk" by any means.

Years later my ex and I are best friends. I hang out with her and her family on major holidays and such. They used to hate me after that incident, but they suddenly started really loving me again. Even my ex's mom has commented that we should get back together (something that shall NEVER EVER happen) and that I was the best thing that ever happened to her daughter.

I wondered where all this was coming from and then my ex wife told me the other day that she was sorry for lying about how things went down that night and that she told everyone the truth, which matched my version of events.

I do not "believe" in hitting a woman, but I do believe in defending myself. My ex wife had a mean right hook too. I felt it for days.

i agree, if a woman hits you first you have that right.

Lol, If a guy hits back, it is much more damaging, doesn't seem very equal to me. Girls get hurt easy also.

Its always been my feeling that you should never hit a woman. If a woman hits me, I would probably tell her not to do it again, and if it continued I do not think I would continue to be in that type of situation.

I spar with women from time to time. IF they really want to learn how to fight a man, at some point, they have to put on some gloves and fight a man.

I have sparred with women before I would not go after her hard, but i definitely would beat up on her a little in that situation. As long as they have head gear/mouth guard I dont have a problem hitting them, (not that i really hit, just kinda light jabs)
