It is possible.

It probably won't be pleasant.

I bathed my cat once when he was a kitten and he was not happy about it but let me do it. Afterwards I wrapped him in a warm towel and he purred SOOO loud. Snorggles! But I'd never try that these days, he'd tear me to shreds in a matter of seconds.

a friend of mine didn't believe me when i told him to not move when we entered the house. suffice it to say, he needed a huge gauze pad and lots of neosporin afterwards....

the only way to enter the house was if he wasn't around to be there, or you stand there and wait until he gets bored of you and goes away.
My mom had a cat like that. Its name was GDC which stood for God Damn Cat, a well earned name.

Use the back of your tongue, you can get pretty close to a cats hiss. It definitely gets the attention of our cats when I "hiss" at them.

Ok there is somewhat of a hiss but the attack is very soft compared to the sharp (fff) attack of a mad cat's hiss or spit sound. A pucker with a sharp exhale certainly is more aurally convincing but it looks more like I would be kissing someone which is not the look that's intended. (this is for the purposes of acting where appearance counts!)

When I'd hiss, it sounds close enough, apparently - I did so as a quick way of getting my point across to both my cats back home. One was more "convinced" by it than the other. She would squint and flatten her ears immediately when hissed at, and then turn and walk hurriedly away.

I know that sound and it's more like the sound of air rapidly escaping a tire. It gets their attention but does not make them jump with all fours coming off the ground either!

Now that I think about it, a turtle will hiss too when retracting rapidly in its shell and the sound is similar but softer.

Too bad we stopped going to San Juan. That place is loaded with hissy cats that I could record. St Thomas has wild iguanas but I will not get near them because their tails are like whips!

I've bathed both my kitties at the same time before. They're pretty good. They try to escape, but don't typically scratch. I end up drenched and soapy, and covered in cat hair, but never injured. Just depends on your cat.

But I used to have one cat that didn't mind really.

He'd just stand there and stare at me as I washed him without ever even trying to get away.

I had another cat though that got so freaked out by it that she'd shit and piss in the tub each time, that was never fun.

I usually just have my current two cats bathed when I bring them to the vet so they can deal with the claws

I've heard of cats like that in folk lore...never thought I'd actually meet anyone who had seen one bathed in person though...I always figured they were kind of like Unicorns.

When my cats hiss, it sounds kind of like there's a bit of saliva involved somewhere. If I'm making a hiss sound at them, I'd rather not give them a good misting.

I think it's actually been a few years since I've heard my cats hiss. One of them would get nuts when her back would be patted, kind of like the one in that video there, but then she'd whip her head around and make like she was going to bite your hand. That was then followed by a hiss, and then she turned back around for more patting. Psychotic little thing.

Kind of like this one after 1:20.

The last cat I bathed was the last catI I will bathe. I had my 17 year old lady, who got flead up by two other kittehs I brought home, in my glass corner shower. I was able to get her soaped up and began to rinse her off under the shower when she gained supernatural strength adn coiled around and sunk her fangs into my forearm. She bit me all the way to her gumline.I about put her through the glass door. I now had a nice deep filthy puncture wound in my arm that began to give me blood poisoning ( red mark run ning up my arm to my armpit) by the following day. Off to the ER for antibiotics and a feel-good tetanus shot.

The moral of this story: Do not bathe a cat. God does not want you to bathe a cat. Bathing cats is unholy, like the Pope.

Peace

You don't want to submerge it. Get the cat in there]/b] and use a cup to gently scoop water on to it. Be careful to avoid getting it's face and ears wet. If you still have working appendages at this point it'll make the shampooing, rinsing & toweling off much easier.

Gotta call shens.

Anyone who's ever suceessfully bathed a cat in anything smaller than a swimming pool would not gloss over this step - getting past this part is almost as challenging as stitching yourself up after.
