Has anyone ever taken the Princeton Review for the ACT? Do these work?

I gotta 25 on my act to I'm thinkin about doin the princeton review thing, anyone have any experience with this?? does it work?? i read their books but obviously that didnt seem to help....

 

Here's my $.02 on this topic:

My parents bought me a Kaplan CD-ROM that had both SAT and ACT prep 'courses' on it. They helped a lot - not because I didn't know what was on the test, but because they told me how the test worked, and they got me used to working with a time limit (lots of practice timed tests).

I spent, total, on standardized test review: $29.99
My score on SAT: 1370
My score on ACT: 35

It's not what you know or don't know (both tests just evaluate your elementary knowledge). It's how well you work under pressure and how familiar you are with the tests.

Yeah, don't waste your money on Princeton Review. They won't do anything that you can't do on your own. Do like JuMpR suggested, get a CD with practice tests and just practice.

I took their SAT course, and all I have to say is that it was a huge waste of time (although I did make a few new friends in it...).

ACT was a waste of time, but i needed it to get into college. THe one nice thing, it showed my potential which my 3.1 GPA did not. I got a 29 or 30 on my ACT. I dont remember now, it was almost 4 years ago.

does their "guarantee" of a 4pt increase in the ACT pull through?
