^ pretty much this. I believe the fee is standard (something like $130 for the book, good world wide; or $75 for the ID, only good for travel to Canada and Mexico).
I did the same. It's not hard to do your own if you have access to a solid white wall. I recently took my own, developed it for like $1 at CVS, and had no problem getting it accepted.
AAA does them for free if you're a member
We just had ours taken at Walgreens this week, $12 each and took about ten minutes. The photos cut off the very points of our heads. Hopefully, the Passport Office will accept them.
Clarification: $12 for each person, 2 photos for each person.wow, you got ripped off. sams club charges $4 for a set of two

I got mine done during my lunch break at Walgreens a couple years ago (though they were for a CCW license). It was easy and fast.
You're getting robbed. I carry concealed all the time like nobody's business without a license. You're pro cop murder so why would you even waste money. Unless you don't think you can draw faster than a cop. In which case you should just carry a rape whistle.Yea this is for my CPL renewal. Walgreen and CVS look to be pretty cheap and close enough to my house. I just didn't want to spend a bunch of money on this since I already have to pay $105 for the renewal.
Thanks!
