Bad driving history or something? I was never quote that high for anything.

I've gotten 2 tickets in my 10 years of driving. Both were parking tickets. I've been rear ended 2x in the last 5 years, with $350 and $1200 damage respectively.

My credit is excellent, and I was a student when I first got insurance. I have an Associates degree, but quit soon afterwards.

I always get bullshitted around by insurance companies. My neighbor upstairs has a 2008 BMW 335, has rear-ended people twice, 3 points on his license, single, no college and just turned 28 and pays MUCH less in insurance with more coverage than I do.

When I called Geico to ask them how in the world he pays so much less, they just tell me it depends on the individual, plus comprehensive on an RX-8 is expensive. My premium just went UP $100 and the reason I was given was "NYS Fees."

Fuck insurance.

Switched from State Farm to Geico, then to Farmers. Saved money each switch.

Geico is the only one that let me insure my RX-8. I got told by other companies that they do not offer insurance for my car, or the rates were outrageous. Allstate wanted $6400 for 6 months.
Insurance companies need to go suck a dick.
Yikes! Even with 1 rear end (6 years ago, bad weather, no fault) and ~3 speeding tickets, my rates aren't THAT high

Ever try a different car? My g35 awd sedan is cheapest vs rwd sedan, coupe and 350z. Same engine, roughly same kbb value, but a 350z would be 125% what I pay and a rwd sedan would cost 110% more. Had I bought a wrx for less money then my g35 I would of paid almost double to insure it. I do my homework ever year when it comes to insurance.

Your just a high risk to the company I guess. Even if u haven't done anything wrong. They feel your at a higher risk.

26 years old, clean record

I just switched to AAA and I pay $1200 a year plus some rebate (can't remember) I get due to having renters insurance with them.

Switched from Geico to Liberty Mutual and saved a ton. Same coverage including rental which is well worth the price, the wife used it a couple times and it's more than paid for itself.(not at fault accidents) Geico kept jacking my rates every year for no apparent reason.

Geico was the same cost as metlife for me. And metlife covers a lot more than geico ever will.

I need to shop around again, but such a pain. Was with Geico years ago, then actually got cheaper with State Farm with a good driving record, then Progressive, then Shelter and now with AAA insurance.
