Has cable been always soo noisy?

The picture I get on analog cable is simply awful, and I'm wondering if I've been spoiled by the digital channels or not. Then agian problem with the digital channels is that you get blocking when the cable goes bad while makes it obvious there is an issue, the cable company is always so clueless on what to do about the issue.. I don't think the cable guy has ever come to my house and *actually* fixed a problem...

Our cable picture looked like crap for a while and I didnt' let the comcast guy leave until he fixed it. and now it looks perfect.

We used to have comcast but switched because the picture was so awfully poor and they refused to *actually* do anything..

..mine was a mess too(comcast). All the locals were heavly ghosted and non locals were herringboned. Numerous complaints didn't solve the problem. They have so many leaks in their infrastructure it's near impossible to repair short of tearing it all out and starting over. When they raised rates to 30.00 a month for basic cable I fired em and got rid of it.

It was terrible when I had Comcast. I had awful double vision on the lower analog channels.

Cancelling Comcast service for this very reason. we have been complaining for close to a month, they don't seem too concerned so bye bye...

Believe it or not I have actually unhooked the cable and attached a regular antenna and got better picture quality for local channels. PATHETIC
